Ok im sure im going to sound like a nub again but on the antec 900 case how do you take off the case? I unscrewed the 4 screws on the back but then when i try to take it off it feels like its glued down or super velcroed or something.

haha i dont want to break it but am i doing it right? Or am i missing something? Should it normally be difficult to pry it off?

Do you mean the side panel?
If thats what you mean, it should just slide off, push the side panel toward the back of the case, then give it a gentle tug and it should come off.

Let us know

P.S. make sure your looking at the front of the case and taking off the left panel.

Hahaha yeah im an idiot. I opened the manual and the first sentence is "slide it off". I got it just fine..

But now im running into actual problems.

It says to screw in the power supply but it seems as if only one screw will go in correctly? Im probably doing it wrong.

That and im completely oblivious to how ANYTHING plugs into the power supply.

Im uploading a picture of the power supply pushed in. If someone could circle where im supposed to screw or what im doing wrong id appreciate it.

I was able to screw in the bottom one left fine. But then the top left is way off to the right? The top right one is down too low and then the bottom right one doesnt have anything to mount it to the case with.

Im sure im just an idiot but here we go..

I also flipped the PSU over so now the fan is facing upwards like its supposed to. Still same problem though except now the top right screw fits and the rest dont.

you must have something lined up wrong, because they are all a standard screw pattern, atleast i'm pretty sure they are.
Is it a atx psu?

ok orientate the psu like this, PSU Fan facing UP, power plug in to the right. it will fit, might have to lift it off the bottom of the case a bit. It'll fit you just gotta line it up right.

Are you talking about a aftermarket cooler?
You can if you want to, if you find the stock cooler to noisy or if you want to overclock, Then yes I would get an aftermarket one.
But the stock one will be just fine.

Yea an aftermarket cooler. I might get one in the future once im finished building it. That seems like a very long way off right now..

As it turns out thats how my PSU is positioned? Maybe im missing something here..

*edit*

Im going to sort all of this out once i have more parts in.. Haha i mounted the MOBO and plugged in all of the connectors then i realized im still going to have to put in the RAM and the CPU and the faceplate or the I/O stuff.. Oh well.

RAM should be here on monday. So should my next paycheck.

Ah, the trials of building your own PC for the first time, been there done that! Mercifully, I found the 900 a relatively easy platform to build on, apart from screwing in the hard disks which had me swearing far more than is usual for my nature.
The upside is that those nasty cages do a brilliant job of preventing any hard disk vibration, so from a quietness perspective, the 900 has a lot of potential. I say potential because I think the stock case fans are far too powerful. My fileserver runs freezing cold even with them at the low setting, and the roar of all that air moving for a PC that's on 24 hours a day in my room is annoying.

Well judging off of that picture (i flipped it over and the plug is on the bottom right now) does that look normal? Is it supposed to plug into nothing mounting it to the case or what?

Well than damn i had it right the ENTIRE time..

Well thats good.. Lol i had screwed in the MOBO and plugged in all of the power things and there was this ONE cord i couldnt find where it plugged into. I think it had 6 pins, im not too sure?

Then i realized i still had all this stuff to plug into the MOBO so i unscrewed it all and put it back in its static bag.

That and it took me like 10 minutes to figure out what to do with the fans. THEY SNAP INTO EACH OTHER! I laughed at myself for a while.. I did figure out where they plug into the MOBO on my first try. I was excited. That and it wasnt too hard judging by the "FAN ONLY!" Cable of where to plug them into..

Rofl. Live and Learn eh?
The 6-pin connector will be the PCI express power connector required for some (but not all) graphics cards. If you can, you plug it straight into the Graphics card (there'll be a little socket for it)

You'll be alright.

Would i notice a difference between that sound card and this one with the speakers i picked out?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829102006

This one has that x-fi whatever..

Man do i ask a lot of questions.. And what kind of resolution would i get out of that monitor with the VGA 360 cable thing?

Haha one more.. Do i have enough PCI slots for all this stuff? It seems like i only have 2 slots and like a million things that need to plug into them..

Well not a million but the GPU right? And then the wireless card? then the sound card..
