well ive read all 9 pages yet i didnt see an answere besides one person, my R4 is 1.11 english, i replaced CHEAT with usrcheat.dat, and not one of my games have the y cheat option, i noticed someone did it by formating their card to FAT and EBA something like that i dont know what it meant, but is there a solution out there that i am missing?

/this is a good guide. it worked for me.
but....... on the M3 you can download the firmware that has cheats already on it which comes as CHEAT file when you copy the firmware in to your system file. there is no difference between the two cheat files just that one or two cheats are missed off.
To add for the M3 i think it was firmware 1.7 that already had built in cheats.

And everyone not all games have cheats. You could be wondering why it aint working on some games so that could be your answer.
Even though this is obvious i just thought it might help.

Should there be a R on the right side beside the game? if i press R button the circle will turn green and if i press again it turns red wat does that mean?

when u open the folder to the local_codelists which one do I choose to find the XML and could u give me an example of what u should be finding

yea... at the 4th step where is the file? could u be specific where an what to click? its the c: somethin action code manager.... i have alredy go the u.s. codes copied to the code list >.>

i need help!!!! how do i update the firmware..... i click the link then it says open with yada yada what do i open it with.... please can someone help me... i have every thing else done..... i just need this small update an i'll be done....>.> and then how do i update my r4 with the 1.11.... plus when i got my r4 every thin was done, it had like 20 games on it already an all i had to do was put the games on it.... what do i do?

It doesnt, but to be safe make a folder on ur PC desktop and backup all the games and .sav files and then after u update move them back to the card. The .sav files are more important then the games because that is clearly ur progress in the game.

ughhh how do i update my sd card? i click it then it says open with mozilla fire fox default when i hit enter the same box cums up sayin the same thin again an the mozilla fire fox page blank behind it.... mozilla fire fox is basically internet if u didnt no....... what do i download the 1.11 version to? Then how do i update my sd card... please give a detailed step by step guide.... i am a noob and do not know what to do the guide on pg1 was too vauge

it doesnt help.... when it says open with... what do i open it with.... then how do i update my sd card.... please be more specific on every step..... i am a noob at this..... so go slowly and carefully thank u ^_^

okay now that i had downloaded it with out ur, should i save my games and themes... plus i loaded version 1.13 will it work? also i put that usr cheat thing on the version 1.06 system.... before i copy 13 should i make a copy of the usr cheat an save it then put 13 then put it on 13 if it doesnt have it, also will the upload erase my games!!!? or is it just recomended to save my .sav files? please answer my qs in chronological order..... thank u

okay please dont just read over this an dont answer me.... i hav every step done.... when i go to my game it does say cheat Y when i click Y button it says do u want to delete this game? what did i do wrong? my firmware is 1.11 i double checked the spelling.... when u go under the system file i have the following: Cheat, Cheat.Dat, an that urs thingy, themes, e book, an Gba rom is there something i am missing or do i hav. somethin extra? please i am so close to getting cheats... please help me

Uhhhhh... perhaps you pressed X instead of Y? Are you thinking xbox 360 controls? Because whenever I press X it says "Do you want to delete this game?"

if this thread is still open, can some one PLEASE help me?? okay, every time i try to click and drag a game to the action replay, it says there is not enough free space on it, but i have emptied ALL the games off my AR, so there is nothing on it. i am having lots off problems. i would really appreciate immediate help! thx
