R4 or M3 is like a program for DS which lets you download games from the internet and put it on the card (So you don't need to waste a lot of money on games)

Hey I love the guide and I can almost do it but I can't convert my "custom_codes.xml" file to a .dat file. I have this type of editor -> http://img58.imageshack.us/my.php?image=actionreplayscreenrb7.jpg
do you know how to convert a file from that program, or how would you do that?
sorry about bothering you and your awesome guide

I lost the CD for my game, so I was told to come here
and I download the US version of the Code Manager, But when I hook up my ds to the computer with the action replay it dosent recognize it, all it keeps saying is "waiting for DS"
And when i click the mouse icon on the ds it says:
"Now ready to update Action Replay DS.
Please connect your PC via USB to recive updates."
Its connected tot he pc and its not updating.
I need help. thanks.

Nomally, if your action replay is connected, it should work. Besides, this topic is for an R4 and M3.
Anyway, has anyone figured out how to get animal crossing codes work on the R4 yet? I still don't know how to get rid of the white screen.

When I got the Code manager thing I copied the Codejunkies US game folder over to my codelist, and when I went to the XML codelist it didn't say custom list it said the codejunkies.XML so I went to that because I thought it was the right one and then you said to Import the it. Here's where I got confused. It says Import/Export and there are 4 options import favorites and import cookies and export favorites and export favorites. I got confused and had no idea what to press. Could you help me?

The codes may not be found on the NET. It is quite easy to update the codes yourself and export them to *dat files. I never found the codes on the the net, but found the instructions and the need tools. Pretty easy to locate the needed utilities.
Let me just say that it is easier to update the codes yourself than to find the codes on the net.
Once you have created the codes simply export them into CHEAT.DAT and/or USRCHEAT.DAT files and put them into the _System_ directory. I normally use CHEAT.DAT for North America codes, and USRCHEAT.DAT for Europe codes.

Are you following the instructions as outline at this link?
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/505999
there is a copy button at the top of the right hand window, and you can also right click on the USA Japan, ir European groupe to copy the entire code list to the bottom right hand window.
If you follow the instructions at the above link you should have no problem.
I'm not sure of the error that you speak of. If after following the guide the copy does not work I would uninstall and reinstall or use a different computer.

I've uploaded the updated copy of the codes at AR NDS Codes As Of 12 Jan 2007. Feel free to go and take that copy.
Can anyone help me with conversion of NDS CBS codes to AR format?

Haven't looked into converting the *.dat file but you should be able to do it with MS ACCESS. I would do a web search amd hope the answer is out there.
