I live in Roscommon. Purchased a Dreambox 500T and loaded it using dreamup and DW2.0. I selected evocam option and then tried a scan but with no luck. Can anyone please help.

You need a working mmds aerial for the 500t box. A mmds aerial without power inserter is not working.

Can you please elaborate on power supply required. I do not think there is any power supply on the antennae already in position.

If you cancel a mmds subscription UPC/chorus collect box and power inserter.
The aerial is not working without power delivered via the antenna cable.
You have to find a matching device with 12v 200ma. Mmds equipment is not sold on the free market in Ireland. You have to find a matching device which was designed for a other usage. The psu's for mast amps are not strong enough.

Can anybody help, I have been trying to flash my Nokia Dbox2. With one FTA I get Dbox2-IFA, Lade Software, Hallenberg.com on the screen and it stays there nothing else happens. On another system it goes through what appears to be a loading system with line after line comming up on the screen and ending with "Bad Magic Number"
My unit only loads up as far as Loading Kernel.
HELP!!!!!

@mulvihc
The downconverter is integrated into the feedarm of newer mmds aerials. You need a device to feed that thing with power via the antenna cable.

Simply use IFA and a crossover network cable plus additional nullmodem cable.

You could try such a device
http://www.globalcom.co.uk/communal/dcbf.html
and your own 12v AC/DC psu.
The official supported frequency range doesn't match but it should work.

You get no error messages without a nullmodem cable.
The used image has no affiliation to the flashing procedure. The content doesn't matter.

The new andromeda image is working great on my sagem 2x in dublin. scanned all channels really quick after setting location to ntl dublin (the first one) and using uk all scanning.

No chirping or blackouts from it yet. Will test on a sagem 1x too.

Get it at www.digitalworldz.co.uk

any chance of mailing that to me - I've tried repeatedly to join that digitalworldz website and its a complete pain in the arse, i.e. says to contact administrator if u have Gmail account to register, then tells you to log in to contact administrator and so on

Any help out there please, my dbox2 is only booting as far as "loading kernel". I have tried to flash it but cant communicate with it.
I have read the notes on IFA and it gives it as a known problem but not much info on how to solve it,
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You get only error messages if you use a additional nullmodem cable.
If you use a nullmodem cable and get boot net failed in the log something is blocking the network.
Firewall, antivirus soft, wrong network cable and so on.

Can anybody help?
I am trying to remove the adult channels from my sagem dbox2. i know about the pin-enabled lock/hide feature, but if i type the channel number they are still there without having to use the pincode.
I am trying to use a myservices.xml file to remove them. No success so far. Anybody having tried that way successfully? If so, please could you tell me and the xml editor you use?
Thanks.
