At bomtom you can download games(the disk is relatively useless as everything is updated regularly and you must re-download the new stuff) on the microSD make a folder called 'NDS' and google 'romulation' OR 'ndsroms' and download them and unzip them to the 'NDS' folder they should play(make sure it also has a system folder which can be downloaded from the homepage of M3 its www.m3adapter.com I think)
At 123124125 it depends on the homebrew but place it on the root of the microSD and m3real should do the rest then select 'mycard' from the menu on the ds and go to the file and play.

Hello all,
I have an original DS. Is there anything I can use with my M3 DS card to use the GBA games and the browser. If I missed it somewhere in the 11 pages in the past please excuse me. I would just like to know and if so what can be used? I have the Rumble Pack (only for lite) and the M3ds card now, just ordered and on the way is the another M3DS, Rumble pack, and GBA card ( I think only for the Lite also). Please help me Im old and confused. LOL

Don't double post just edit the first one in future please.
Yes ezflash 3 in 1 will work but the gba cart can be unscrewed using a + screwdriver and placed into a GBA cart however GBA carts use a Y screw and most people dont have that but if you do then you can use it in DS(you are right gba pak is for DSlite) however I strongly reccomend not bothering with Nintendo ds browser as it is very annoying very slow and useless. I do however suggest DSOrganise I haven't tried its browser because I have nintendo usb adapter and it needs a router but its sure to be faster and doesn't need a RAM pak.

At vette66 no problem I hope I helped but I tried nintendo internet browser and personally think it's useless a waste of Ł20 (or download time)because you cant use flash eg.youtube and even hotmail takes atleast ten minutes to load and amongst all these problems the entire interface is off and hard to use I have heard much better of the DSOrganise which if you need help with email me because I can send you it and tell you how to put it on. It requires no patching and just place DSOrganise and the folder with DSOrganise settings on the root play it on your DS and then you can place DSOrganise where you wish (mine is in a folder called applications with beup and moonshell but you cant move DSOrganise folder to my knowledge because thats where the application looks for it so you can even change its name)
To maplelame gba games do not need to be patched the M3real does that on its own I placed mine on without any change and they work fine your problem may be that you do not have a gba expansion pak the gba games require an expansion pak that comes bundled with the M3real if you chose that option at the store.
To twilix thankyou for the website I will try it and at Magpie74 I suggest reading a bit before asking a question posted only a single post before your own if twilix's site is not working for you then read a few posts from earlier you will see that twilix is the only person to post a site in a while and any that have been in past posts dont work( i tried the most popular site and they have stopped servers due to lack of money)

I've seen it in this topic as well as on other sites. It seems like this is a fine community that may be able to help out.
I like others, have an issue where our GBA saves are not being properly loaded.
This is how it generally goes:
-Start a game fine and play with it functioning properly.
-Save because you have other things to do.
-Turn on NDS and go through the correct channels to boot up the GBA rom.
-Game starts up as if it were the first time you have played and is unable to see your saves.
List of things I have noticed and tried:
-I have tried both patched and fast boot methods of starting the rom.
-I don't use any cheats and RTSaving is disabled.
-A *.0 and a *.is0 file is created for the game.
-A gba_conf.ini file is created, however it appears to be created only once and for which game you load first after manually deleting it.
-I manually deleted the gba_conf.ini file because I noticed that the path inside of the file pointed to a a different game, one I had ran previously. I figured that the "loader" used the incorrect path to locate the saves. This did not fix it.
-I removed all other gba roms and deleted the gba.conf.ini file. Forcing the "loader" to only see one ROM and it's supporting files. This did not fix it.
-The gba.conf.ini file has a path '/GBA/0171 - Golden Sun (UE).gba' followed by a bunch of NUL characters then '˙˙˙˙' followed by some more null characters. My intuition says that the loader reads this literally and is looking for the saves to exist in a location that isn't there.
-I tried to manually fix this by deleting all the "extra" after the path name but after attempting this and then looking at the file again it had reverted to the version with all the null characters.
My guess is that there is an issue with the firmware and how it handles GBA game. However if this were the case I figured more people would be complaining. I have v2.9 for the M3DS Real. I purchased the perfect bundle.
Your assistance would be much appreciated.
I'm having the same issue. Not with all advanced games but a few.
I cannot figure out how to get around it, I am guessing it's a firmware issue.
I am also having this problem. The GBA games save and create a save file in the SD card but when I turn the DS off and back on the GBA game doesn't see the save file. Does anyone know how to fix this? I am using the v2.9 system software.
i am also having a save issue which pissed me off as ive just wasted 12hours on ff tactics and now its gone, but with me i deleted the saves and re put them on my micro, i had saved them before so they shoud pick up where i left off but no, now no matter what i do it will not load the saves i put on it, the 12 bloody wasted hour saves lol any ideas anyone, i have the save file but my m3 just wont load them with the game?

i think ive come to a conclusion regarding save slots with gba.
back up your rom and both save files (o and iso) as you need all 3 original files for the rom to recognise the svae delete one and your screwed. even if you have all backed up you need to make sure they are all from the same save period as the (patch method patches the rom the save so if you put a different rom of say ff tactics it will not work.
oh shit my m3 has just recognised my save, wooo this is some serious buggy peice of hard ware this m3 real, that will teach me not to erase the rom again

i purchased a m3 real from www.realhotstuff.com and when it came in the mail.. all i received was an m3 real cartridge
i read the guide so i downloaded the v2.9 loader thingy from http://www.handheldsources.com/M3DS/Download_M3DSR.html
i then extracted it /w winzip and i got a SYSTEM FOLDER
i then placed the SYSTEM folder into my 2 gb scandisc MICROSD
then i placed that into my m3 real cartridge.
i placed the m3 real cartridge in my ds lite and opened the power
nothing happened. it just led me to the main nintendo screen with the clock and calender. it says there is no gba or ds game in there.
also i tried making a NDS folder /w a game on the 2gb Microsd /w the SYSTEM folder already in there but nothing happened either

It does not sound like your doing anything wrong, even without a MicroSD inserted the M3 would still load and then complain.
Try cleaning the contacts of the M3 and reinserting it a few times into the DS, if it still refuses to load you should contact realhotstuff and ask for a replacement.

Question about the M3 real bundle, does the USB SD card reader supports the SDHC cards? I ordered a 8 gig card on ebay and I hope that when I get all my stuff I can transfert files to the SDHC card without buying another card reader
anyone knows?
thanks!

Yes, all the M3 Reals come with an microSDHC card reader (the very first Chinese batches didn't)

So what is the story with running DS Homebrew using the M3DS Real? Has anyone tried this? Any success?
Also, my M3DS Real box says 'Built in emulators' and 'SNES NES GB' etc.. I have tried some GBA games and they work fine. Do roms for other systems such as the SNES run without having to install an emulator in the card? Anyone tried this?

Hi Twilix, yes my box definitely says SNES:-

I only bought it a week or so ago. I assume your box does not say 'SNES'. Does this mean that they have updated the firmware to now include SNES emulation out of the box? Anyone tried a SNES rom on the M3DS Real?
