Hi ALL
I cannot connect seem to connect to my dbox via the crossover cable to ftp the key file ,I have tried loads of combinations of ip but still cannot make contact .i have followed all previous posts with regards to ip address and settings,i have even bought a new cable thinking it was it but no ,i was told to "ping"the dbox but i dont know how to do this ,
Any help would be great as i am at this all weekend .

If you use XP: Click start -> run. The type cmd in the field and hit enter. type Ping (and your dBox2's IP address, something like 169.254.1.2) and press enter. You will get a list of responses if your box is reachable. Otherwise it will say timed-out.

Ok for those of you still having trouble here is the blade image for n9l Dublin for DBOX2 its updated with all the new keys etc. Simply download it and stick it on you box.
For those of you who don't know how to do the sticking I have included a 'what you need guide', 'a how to do it guide' and the software required to get it done.
Hope this helps those of you that are a bit stuck.
I will add a blade c£$£$s image by Wednesday.

Sorry forgot to say the parental lock is active on this image to block out the settings menu and adult channels. The code is 1982 to unlock.

Back again.....well eventually got the DB500C up and running after spending the whole weekend at it...got it up and running....BUT!!!
After bout a hour I lost picture and sound again. I then went and FTPd the Keylist.txt file again and my picture and sound resumed....BUT!!! again after bout a hour or so it dropped its connection again....
Has anyone any idea what could be the cause of this and what could I do to fix this

It looks like autoupdate is enabled and write the wrong keys at top of your Keylist.txt.
Set the option A: {00} in the camd_cfg and restart evocamd.

I am using a DB500C and I do not see anywhere within the setup menus where I can do what you suggest above.
I would be grateful if you could give me some guidance on how I would go about

You need to telnet into your box and edit the camd_cfg file.
Open a cmd window (go to Start | Run... and type cmd and press enter)
Type: telnet 192.168.1.13 (change the number to the IP of your box)
Type: cd /var/keys
Now you need to edit the camd_cfg file - I only use vi to do this and don't really fancy writing a tutorial on how vi works...
The file probably says 'A: {02}' change this to 'A: {00}'

hey guys,
I have been reading the differents posts all weekend everyone seems really clued up on the changing of codes and getting boxes up and running again. My box gave in last week too,i am a techno phobe of the highest order, this post is the most ive done... If someone can sort out my two boxes for me i can trade there help for Vip entrance and seats with drinks in the club i run. I live in the saggart area your help would be hugely appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Guys ,
I have a Noki* dbox 2 with the digital worldz image. I have loaded in the keylist file but i still get nothing.
This has been wreaking my head all weekend , i cant offer drinks or vip access just thanks to anybody who can help.
by the way the digital worldz image is very good.

Check if evocamd is selected as emu. Keylist.txt is only for evocamd.

Flashed dbox with the Blade image. It worked for a couple of minutes. Stations then went blank. Now the box will not boot up and shows a screen with numbers and letters on it.
Do not know the new ip address to connect again with the pc.
Anybody any ideas what can be done.

same thing happend to me. I just connected to the box with a rs232 cable and plugged the box into my router so i could use the network card. i used ifa to reflash with another image. I'm not sure if it used the network of the rs232 cable but it worked for me.
Just flash it again should work ok.

Guys - Thanks for all the info & assistance - could not FTP file as i had no space left on the dbox. used Telent to connect & remove some saved TV programs & was able to FTP File.
All my Channels are Back..........

Hi lads,long time reader first time poster.Ive been getting codes for mates here for ages and then for the first time in 2 years my nokia dbox dv3 went down.It has team commando loaded on it.I have all the new codes but just cant seem to find the place to change them on the box.My remote control hasnt got the coloured buttons but the same set up so i can figure that out.Can somebody please tell me how to change the codes.If i have to set it up to the pc can u please give me a step by step guide for the blind!!!Its like cold turkey the last few days with less than 12 stations.PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!
