HELP the champions league is on tonight
You already posted the fix! cheers, look at your starview code and the dbox update, only one digit is wrong, at the end it is D and should be 5.
you can go into tuxbox commander and change it as mentioned before. The following guide was posted before, I just updated it with the new key that is giving problems
A GUIDE ONLY FOR PEOPLE AFRAID OF PCS
If the D Box goes down and the only channels you have left are RTE 2, TV3 , Channel 6 etc., don?t do a service scan, if you do you will lose most of your channels and it makes it more difficult to get them back.
NOTE: When I refer to scroll in text below, I mean using the Toggle buttons that are around the OK button on the remote control, the button below the OK you use to scroll down, the one above use to scroll up and down, the buttons to the left & right you use to move left & right. If you make a mistake and you want to go back to the start, press the home button and don?t save changes. To get started follow instructions below:
1
. Press the blue button and you will be in the features menu, scroll to Tuxbox Commander, press OK.
You should now be looking at the files on the D Box.
2
. Scroll to VAR and press ok, If you don?t see VAR, scroll to <DIR> & press ok, if you still don?t see VAR scroll to the next <DIR> and press ok, keep doing this until VAR appears on the screen!
3
. When you find the VAR file and you press OK, scroll to Keys & press OK
4
. Scroll to Keylist.txt and press 4 on your remote control! It is important that you don?t press OK when you scroll to keylist.txt , you must press 4 in order to edit the code that will appear! If you pressed OK in error , just press the Home button and start again.
5.
After pressing 4 you should be looking at a screen with /var/keys/keylist.txt at the top, 4 or 5 codes in the middle and numbers 1 to 9 at the bottom.
6.
Now you need to scroll to the code that you are going to change, e.g old code is as follows:
N 5401 00 067AF388D22415FD ; ROM7 AU Key Time Tue Apr 8 17:52:53 2008 and we need to change it to N 5401 00 067AF388D22415F5 ; ROM7 AU Key Time Tue Apr 8 17:52:53 2008
We are only changing one digit this time, in future you may have to change more digits.
7.
When you have have scrolled to code you want to change press OK, When you press OK, the code becomes slightly larger and the first digit changes colour to red, this is now your cursor!
8
. Scroll to the digit you want to change, and then use the numbers on your remote to change that digit to whatever character you want, e.g. if you want to change the digit to 3 , you press the number 3 button four times until 3 appears, the press ok. The same would apply if you want to change it to 4, you press the number 4 button on your remote four times and press OK.
9
. When you have changed the digit to the new one, press the Home button, it will ask you do you want to save changes, if you are happy with the new change, scroll to yes and press OK.
10
. You should now have changed the code, to get back to the TV screen, press home.
11
. In order for the changes to work you need to reboot, press the D box button and scroll to reboot and press OK. When it reboots you channels should be back!
Now as I mentioned before I had blade and sporster running with autoupdate and they were fine, never changed back while commando did. My sporster image is still set to autoupdate. If it is stable set to autoupdate then it might be best to leave it like that, since it does seem only 1 digit will change at a time so it is very easy to fix.

please let me know what image you are both running. I think commando might only be reading the first 2 lines or something, and maybe other images are fine as long as the correct keys are somewhere in there.
I'm Running Sportster 1.75 (2x)

Thanks for the reply and the two files mgb17
Upload both files to var/keys.
Restart evocamd or reboot your box.
http://www.4shared.com/file/43301180/136b63e6/keylist.html
Updated these to my DB500C all working in Cork
Mgb17 thanks for sharing your wisdom...major Kudos to you ...
Just hope the edit you did to the camd_cfg file will stop the issue I had with loosing picture/video every few hours.
Hopefully it is up for a bit this time...Thanks to all who share their knowledge on this excellent thread

I followed all the steps outlined yesterday April 7th with great success. I was however disappointed to find that all channells dissappeared again today. I tried again using the new codes outlined today but it appears that they N*L have updated the codes again since and I do not know what to do next. There was mention below of installing something that will automatically update these codes. Does anyone have any information on this?

Thanks to everyone for their help.
Would it be major hassle to get an autoupdate programmed into the d box to counteract nthell's carry on ?

You need to use a hex editor and to be honest you would be better flashing a new image.....

Delete keylist.txt first at your box and than upload the new one.
If your box is still connected to your cable feed during your upload switch to a none scrambled channel before.
