Hi nrk4594, wow i'm very amazed by your codes, it really works with my GS2v1.9 very well, but I'm having problems now cause my GameShark Memory Card seems to mulfunctioning this days and I don't know why. Well, maybe its old lol. anyway I would like to know what do you prefer of what version of GS2 for GT4? is the codes from its website (For version 4) is really compatible with GS2v4? Please tell me before I purchase it and it would be a help. Thanks

I would recommend using codebreaker v8 or higher, but if you insist on gameshark, I would prefer gs2v3 or gs2v4 because we can't convert codes for gs2v5 yet.

nrk4594 I bought both Codebreaker v8 and Gameshark 2 version 4 and i got the codes for GT4 in both CBv8 and GS2v4, my question is in my old version of Codebreaker (version 7.01) the gt4 codes from cmgsccc.com doesn't work but they said that it is compatible with version 7, so will it this time will work on my new Codebreaker? or do I need to use the Max Converter? Thanks for the reply

I didn't meant to say that i will use old codes for the new version of unofficial cheating devices, my point is, will the new version work? Anyway, nrk4594 Did you ever used Codebreaker v8 on GT4? did it work? In such case IF the codes wouldn't work on me, is there something that i should change on my PS2? or not? maybe there's something wrong with me lol :) thanks

1)I know that cbv7.0 had a lot of bugs. That could be an issue.
2)With some games, manually typing the codes wont work, you need to transfer the day1 files to your memory card.
3)You enetered the code wrong.
4)You entered codes that cancelled each other out. For example using codes like Unlock all cars and Unlock Everything at the same time, could cancel each other out.
5)You are using the PAL version of GT4.
When I used AR2v2 it wouldn't work without the donglw, so I don't think that gs2v1 will work without the dongle.

nrk4594 the number 1 answer to your suggestions is that CBv7 has many bugs . Now question is How do I use the day 1files? should I use a common USB Flash Drive? Or should I use the exclusive USB Flash Drive made by Pelican themeselves?

Can you give a list of new games that works on Codebreaker according to what you have experience with it cause I want to know if my old codebreaker (version 7) has still a use for me... or maybe I'll use that Day 1 files. So, I'm viewing the site (cmgsccc) and there is a file (day 1) for GT4, like i'd ask you can I use an oridnary USB Flash Drive? or the one made by pelican? Thanks and more power in the future

Hi there,
I'm not sure if you can help me or not, but I decided I may as well ask, and if you can, great, and if you can't, well at least I won't feel bad for not trying.
I recently purchased a GS2(broadband) for PS2(yes, yes, I know..I'm quite insane, I assure you) along with the game Dragon Quest 8. I tried using their 'new' codes, but those did not work..tried the 'old' version codes, and those did work(the disk says v. 5.5) but were entirely misleading. Under the heading of 'maximum' I had hoped to find a code(or codes) that would give me 999 items in first slot in the item bag..no matter what was placed in there. To my surprise and horror, I find instead it gives me ALL the items in the game including key items that end up messing up the game(can't get clear save, can't do dragovian dungeon, etc, because game thinks i already have access) This is not what i wanted at all..and I can't find any codes for that would give me the 999 items in first slot in items bag.
After a bit of delving, I found CMGSCCC codes for Codebreaker v9.2 that gave me everything I wanted. I will be purchasing the Codebreaker as soon as funds are available(and I find a supplier) but until then,
Codebreaker code is:

Can this be converted to GS code?

nrk4594 so the max converter (the latest version) can convert the gamshark 2 version 4 codes into raw that would work in the game that wouldn't work (crashes) is that your trying to tell me?
can you convert Code Breaker codes into version 7?
I've previously input the needed codes of mine that would help in my reply yesterday, did you see it? it is the mastercode and the 1 billion credits. Can you do it? :D
Its okay that it wouldn't happen, cause i'd read the readme file that the tool doesn't yet support some cheating devices, correct me if i'm wrong lol :)

nrk4594 Thanks for all the information, and I finally got the Gameshark 2 v4 work with gt4, i appreciate all the infos you gave me, from now on I'll be careful (extra careful)buying such unofficial devices such as low version of this.
One last question (finally)... Everything in the code is working (GS2 V4)
But I couldn't get the Freeze TImer (Press L2 to Activate and R2 to deactivate) working... can you help with this? Thank you very much and more power!!! :)

Howdy!...been a while but as last mentioned I was waiting for the CB to get here.
I specifically ordered v8.1 however "they" took it upon themselves to ship v9.1. (?)
That in and of itself would perhaps not be all that bad except for the fact it won't load. (Not too thrilled with CB so far :D)
Put the disk in the PS2, for a split and I mean ...split... second the screen flashes what I think might be the logo, then the screen goes dark for a nother 3 or 4 seconds. Finally what I see is a display with the memory card on the left and the disk on the right.
Highlight the disk, hit "X" (enter) and again for a split second something blue flashes (can't make it out) and it reverts right back to the original screen with the memory card displayed and the disk.
Have tried oh...a dozen times or more and get nothing more than what I just mentioned.
Is there a "secret" as to how to get CB to load? :D
Would the fact that the PS2 is the older version (the fat one) as opposed to the newer slim and sleek one be causing the problem?
Hate to think I waited at least a week to get this and I have a dud. :D
Any help will of course be appreciated.
The same thing can happen every so often when loading GS, but a simple matter of highlighting the "disc" hitting "X" and it loads.

Some older ps2's have trouble reading cd-r's. You can try standing your ps2 vertical, sometimes that helps.
Another thing is that you have a modded ps2 that isn't compatible with cb. If that's the case, put the chip in sleep mode.
You can try the "tape trick"
This works on fat PS2s, not the slim PSTwo. Take a small piece of masking tape and put it next to the hole like in the pic.
