what would putting tape on the cd do anyway most ps2's read cdr's

Putting tape as shown will help the spindle hub grip the CD-R better and stop it from slipping. This happens a lot with CD-R's for some reason CD-R's seem to be a little thinner the standard pressed originals and the hub doesnt set as tightly and the disc will slip when the spindle trys to spin up. This is only needed for people that are experiencing slippage, so dont think that putting tap on the disc will resolve any laser issues you might be having and if you arent experiencing any slippage dont worry about this either.

nrk4594 it finally worked!!! The Time freeze you gave me work! Wow, thank you very much... All i have to do is press L3 + R3 to activate and L3 + R3 to deactivate it again, thanks it works with gt4 (with gs2v4) great, I'll let you know that your one of the best there is... lol

If you ever have a problem with a gs2v4 code working, you can check to see if there is an ar max code that has a similar result. Then, just convert thr ar max code to raw, and use that code in your gs2v4. That's what I did for that code. If the game has codes for codebreaker v1-6, you can do the same thing.

keycode wont matter. The keycode only comes into play when converting to/from gs2v2

Thanks again, :)
I knew about the tape trick and had already tried it and while I was also aware that sometimes standing the PS2 on its head so to speak might help in getting a disk to work, :D I had not tried that one.
Therefore I gave it one more shot both with the tape and standing it up.
Neither worked, so I found another way to solve the problem.
I simply went out and bought the slim version of the PS2! :D
Guess what?...The CB disk worked like a charm! :D
Meanwhile I have a nifty JumpDrive which serves no purpose for the time being as it appears all the latest codes for FFX 2 are on the 9.+ version.
I have yet to try loading the code for Max HP, which is where all this started a while back. Remember I had codes for 99,999 but they would not work with GS v5.+
I'll get around to trying them some time today and see what CB has to offer.
Chances are I'll be back. :D

Also (not really part of the dicussion of this forum) but...
I have 3 PS2s in my house, but my other one is experiencing something wrong... It can only read Marvel V.S. Capcom 2, but the other games won't... but beofre it does read all my games. can anyone help me what's wrong with it... ASAP!!!
I've tried all games and MVC2 is the only one which worked...

Please guys help me. I'm stupid as hell when it comes to stuff like code converting, I'm not english, so I sometimes I don't understand.
I have Action Replay 2 v2 (but it seems Gameshark v1.9 codes work good,okay). The help I'm asking for is Resident Evil 4 codes such as Inf health, inf ammo. Thank you very much.

Uhmm dude.. there is no need to use gameshark codes for that game.. devil may cry 3 is mad ez... if u need to get red orbs just play on level 1... you get without any luck 7k per game.. is really easy just avoid to get hitted and all good... and also.. if u can't pass it.. i think there is a suit that gave you ilimited demon trigger... i think after you beat heaven or hell mode you get it.. but on the easy way there is a cheat you can use== hold r1,r2,l1,l2 and move left analog or L3 stick in circles till you hear a sound then cheat mode is on.. if u go to your game you will notice that there are more options and all modes are available.. uhmm also if u press r1 or l1 you will see your costume is changing.. the one with unlimited demon trigger is the suit where you can see dante with like smoke out oh him.. well if u got any other trouble try to insist on the devil may cry 3 gameshark codes XD laterz

Howdy!
This may be a super ignorant question and if it is...so be it! :D
These were/are the codes for GS v4.+ and under, and as you/we discovered they are not compatible with v5.+
Now for the question, is it possible to conver them to work with CB 9.+?
Or...does the same rule apply with regards to your post...

edit: BTW..of course there are codes for Max HP on the CB disk but they are for a max of 9,999. The codes above allow for 99,999.
