Hi,When you upgrade the new kernel ,please don't cover it directly, You'd better to format the TF card first ,and then copy the new kernel to your TF card. After downloading and decompressing the new updated files, copy all files to the root directory of memory card to replace the former files,i hope this can help you!

Coolaaron & Topman,
There are tons of versions kicking out there but alot with different versions do the same thing.
Some versions are generated to run on different R4's.
Tell me which R4 you both have,(ie R411, R4111, R4SDHC etc)I will be able to sort it out for you.
Send me your email address and I will send the software across.
Topman, you said the card was working but when you loaded other games to the R4 it just brought up the 'Loading' screen. Did you delete the games that affected the card and did it work or not.
Everyone out there, there are some new games that can be downloaded but will not play on the R4 due to the system being updated which Nintendo are trying to stop copying.
If you have a game and it affects your console by showing you cannot save the game when playing or have any other faults apart from the 'Loading' screen showing up, I have the software to solve most of the faults.
Anyone who requires it, need to let me know what the issues are with their DS, what DS they have (DS, DS Lite etc. What R4 type card they have and what SD card they have, including the size.

coolaaron,
On the box you got the R4 from it will show you the R4. It should say something like, R4 (possibly has a 'New' logo in top right corner)and says further down R4 SDHC Revolution for DS (NDSL/NDS).
It could aslo say, R4 ('new' in the middle of the box, underneath R4-111 (in orange) upgrade.
Also let me know which site you got the R4 from.

mine says r4sdhc revollution for ds
(ndsl/nds) my email is *email removed*
my card was working right up untill last week when since i have put new games on just says loading i took all the games of and tried to start again but even with no games on just says loadin

hi pugg need your help fella ive got a ds lite ref-uef12178578 im using a r4(ndsl/nds) card with a kingston 2gb sd card ive tried that many kernals but still get the dreaded black loading screen can u help...... *email removed* many thanks

Guys, seriously - the "Loading screen" problem can probably be fixed if you have bought an original card (i.e. one that takes the normal software - I'm NOT saying 'fakes' 'brick' cards or silly stuff liek that which is usually bollocks) and visit:

Hi, Just wanted to recommend contacting Pugg if you have any problems, my ds was stuck on the loading screen (after adding new games to the r4), I tried to for hours to fix it myself, one email to pugg and he sent me the software that fixed it immediately! Thanks again Pugg really appreciate your swift response, one 6 year old boy happy again!!!!

pugg im hoping u can help me out this card has been killing me for 2 weeks now
my nds light says UG on the back
im using a 4gb sandisk micro sdhc card
i got a r4-sdhc upgrade revolution for ds from www.r4i-sdhc.com
iv tried all kinds of firmware and kernels but my ds screen just displays the out line of a card with the word MENU?
im really hoping u can help me and i have both windows xp and a mac osx if that helps

Im getting this loading screen as well. I have an r4 SDHC that came with rumble....yay?
Before asking further questions i have tried 3 or 4 firmwares, and no luck
HERE IS THE BIG QUESTION.....do i need a SDHC for this to run, i have a 2gb sandisk mobile ultra. could this be the problem?

hi! i hv a r4 sdhc and i hv installed the firmware, that Puggwash suggested. However when i load up the game i get the message loading for a few seconds then a message saying MENU?

I had similar problems when I first changed from the R4 to the R4 sdhc.
I did this as the original R4 could only handle cards up to a max of 4GB where as the sdhc could allegedly handle far greater capacity cards.
Having gone to all the trouble of changing the firmware etc on my original 2 GB card I encountered the "Loading" screen of death.
Upon transferring all data both to 4 Gb & 8 Gb sdhc cards I had no problems.
I have encountered similar scenarios with various other 2Gb cards.
Any sdhc card of 4 Gb or above I find seems to work fine.
For those of you still having problems after having tried all other suggested remedies I recommend trying a larger capacity card.
Only a suggestion. It worked for me more than once.

i made mine work! it turns out mine was a fake, which meant the firmware that puggwash suggested didn't work. so i went to www.r4-v.com do download fake firmware to make the fake r4 sdhc work!!!!!!!!

Hello PuggWash I recently purchased a r4i for my DS Lite (UG) I am using a 2gb sandisk micro sd
I turn on my ds
press to continue
then select the game and it gets stuck at the loading screen

Could you please sent me the right software for my DS lite UG12701350. I bought a R4Ultra card from www.r4ultra.com (DSHC is on the card), but can not get it to work. Tried version 1.52, 1.53, 1.54 in different languages and also some others.
