I see there is a fix out for the starview today, is there likely to be a fix for the dbox anytime soon?

Also, Not sure if people already know this but no harm in saying anyway:
google search "BigMaq toolbar" and install the BigMaq toolbar.
The toolbar has an option called 'latest keys' which displays the latest keys. The toolbar is updated daily.

No need to be like that. People aren't reading every single post as it comes out. Also a lot of people who come on here are first timers who are asking questions for the first time. It's a forum. Sure you're even asking yourself if there is anything yet for the d-box. I suggest you read back over the days...LOL.

I have been pulling my hair out all day trying to sort my box out and finally after searching several forums i found this brilliant piece of info. have been up and running now for 1 hr. Please let me know how you get on.
Can't really do a tut as there are so many different images out there, but will try to break it down a bit.
You need to be running evocamd.
If you use tuxbox commander and go to your keylist.txt file, don't open it just press 4 on the remote to edit it, delete everything from it. (Red button on most). Exit then save.
Restart box go to encrypted channel, then go back to keylist.txt file, make a note of the key in there. Delete it again, save and restart box again, this will create a new one, which will be slightly different, 2 digits will be different.
first example; abcdef0123456789
second time; abcdef0125456780
as you can see 2 of the digits are different, so i need to change one of the digits either the 5 or the 0 and replace it with whatever was in its place on the first go.
final example; abcdef0123456780
save file and reboot and it should work, if it didn't, i would have picked the wrong digit, so i would change the other digit and put back the first one i changed.
Have a go, its easier when you see it for yourself. You only have a choice of two to swap, its either one or the other.
(haven't turned autoupdate off as don't see no reason too)
Nice one. i got mine to work, i take it i have to do this until there is fix??
I tried this today. Followed the instructions. After i deleted the keys, saved when prompted then rebooted there was no new keys generated. Still getting free-to-air crap though, just still no other channels.
Help?????
i am using a sagem dbox with bluepeer v1.0 (ive never heard of it either) installed. Can anyone point me in the right direction???
I am in v*rgin (old telewest) in North Lanarkshire area if that makes any difference guys.

I think i've damaged my dbox.
its a nokia dbox2. i was flashing a new image but
halfway through it just froze and nothing i could do
would unfreeze it so i pulled the plug.
when i plugged it back in i get 'kein system' .
I've used IFA before so i tried that carefully following instructions
but no luck (it worked for me a few weeks back).
when i hold the up button after reboot for a few secs its stays
stuck on 5 bars and doesn't go to 'kein system' at all.
does this mean the memory is screwed?
was using IFA through my router but have also tried a crossover cable with
firewall off and card set to 10mbit half duplex.
any ideas?
thx

Seems the only way that i can get the keys to work properly, is by using a similar method to one of the previous posters.
Make sure the Evocamd is selected and that only ROM7 is enabled.
Go to the public keys menu and click on show public keys. Write the 01 key down.
Then clear public keys from public key menu, then force public key update, Save settings and reboot dbox.
Go to Tuxbox commander, then Keys, Keylist.txt and press 4 to edit Keylist.txt.
You will see a slight difference between the first 01 key and 01 key after you rebooted.
For example.
The first key i got was
N 5401 01 DB7E88CA37E3938B
I then cleared the keys, forced public key update and rebooted the dbox.
After restarting the key became:
N 5401 01 D87E88CA37EB9383
All i needed to do was to make the changes in tuxboxcommander, save settings and reboot the system.
Just remember to enable ROM7 only from the EMU settings menu, and save settings after editing the keys

Up and running in North Lanarkshire on V*rgin, Sagem Dbox 2 flashed with bluepeer v 1.0 . Used the codes posted on the bigmaq toolbar(many thanks bigmaq, download it and intsall it for codes for all areas and all providers). Had to do a forced automatic update but all channels are there and working, no stutter or freeze up. Not sure how long it will last, just glad i have more than 5 channels of crap to surf now lol.
A MASSIVE thanks to all the guys on this forum. Without your tech help and knowledge my dbox would have been a rather large and expensive doorstop.
Guys, you RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Box is occasionally freezing but move up a channel and back down and its ok again.

There are a *lot* of newbies out there still very confused on how to change keys, many without PCs to FTP. So I did up the following step-by-step instruction for changing a dbox key using the remote control. It presumes zero knowledge.
How to change D-box keys
--------------------------------------
Do all of the following using the the dbox remote control.
Change dbox channel to RTE1
Remove aerial/cable from back of dbox
Press BLUE button on dbox remote
Select "TuxBox Command" on menu displayed
If you can't see a directory called "Keys" use direction keys to move to directory called "Var" and press OK
Move to directory called "Keys" and press OK
Move to file called "Keylist.txt" and press digit 4 on remote control (do not press OK first)
*** You are now editing the key file ***
The lines should look something like this (you can delete other lines or not):
N 5401 00 1AC4BB2D468053FB
N 5401 01 ABA68DDBB24DFFC6
It does not matter which order they are in once both lines are there and all characters are the same as the new key (see end of this).
Don't worry about any text after the code (separated by a semi-colon).
Move to the line to be changed and press OK. The text will get bigger to show you are editing it.
Press the YELLOW key to select 'upper case' (not sure if this is really needed but do it anyway).
Use the number keys to change the characters to the new code.
Use multiple presses of each number key to change characters (like mobile phone).
The "-" key on the remote control will delete characters.
Use the right direction key to move to next character or to enter a space.
Press OK when finished changing the line.
Repeat from *** above if you need to change anything on the other line.
Press HOME on remote when finished editing the file.
Press RED key for "Yes" to save changes.
Press HOME key (Press RED key again if prompted to save).
Press D-BOX key.
Select "Reboot" from menu.
Put aerial/cable back in. That's it!!!
Latest dbox keys are shown on web site:
