Have you powered up box?
Go to control panel system hardware device manager com and lpt ports see which is the 1 you have plugged in, double click on it when it opens click second tab port settings then advanced and change the com port to 1 ,and thats it ,and your box should be in standby when you are flashing it "clock will be showing "

Thanks karljd, updated using blue_ufl 21_04_08, did a full scan and box is alive again.

For the interests of everyone please do not post any encryption codes on this thread. By doing so you are putting the thread in risk of being closed, and a lot of people whom do not visit other sources would generally be fuc*ed for information.
As far as I am aware a dedicated page has been made with this information and is updated regular and obviously when possible.
If you look back in previous pages you will find links taking you to it.

You are right with that topic also karljd thats what people do not take into consideration these type of forums are monitored, not just on STB sections but generally on all technology issues.
It spoils it for the ones that generally only want information for a hobby. :(

Well... Its not exactly a legal trade is it?
They(broadcasting authories) are tryin their best to catch the suppliers or anyone associated with this "bussiness" and together with the law... Hefty fine...prosocution.. and almost certainly jail.
No wonder everyone is up in arms!
It'll do you no harm to learn how to DIY... if it gets to a stage that the change the Keyroll Programs so often You;ll need to know this!! Just look at the forums.. some may be able to talk you through the process if you are lucky!
Thats what Private Messages are for!
