hav a euro vox max v iam udateing it 4 a friend but the remote duzn seem to be wrkn ive tryed another remote an still noting . . any toughts

i know its the eurovox forum but does anyone know how to change com port 4 to cp 1 tried everything even a point to different forum thanks
if its free it has to be good

This is the XP method, I would imagine the Vista method is similar
1) Right click the My Computer icon on your deskop and click Manage.
2) Click device manager.
3) Click the (+) next to Ports (COM and LPT)
4) Right click the Com port you are using (in your post you're saying it's Com 4). Click Properties, Port Settings tab, then click Advanced.
At the bottom of this dialog box there is a drop down menu that lets you set the port number you want to assign this device to

hi guys
i bought a universal remote as too many gadgets, too many remotes and missus makes a fuss, so thought one nice tidy one for basic operations was a smart idea. I can get everything working off it apart from eurovox (max, black 2008). Does anyone know codes for it or way of tuning it in, or if its similar to any other make?Spent ages on it.

am using laptop ,adapter and cable , in device manager there are no port settings tried that method you posted , thanks anyway

ive put it down to the box end of thing as ive tryed different remotes which work on other ev boxs.. hav ye ever heard of this problem ....thank

hows it going guy,s.i normally do the replay lite but since all this crap started with firmwere and what not i decided to help a freind and do his eurovox black 2008.i succesfully flashed it and the updates work perfect,the only thing is a couple of his stations are wabbley if u kno what i mean ive noticed it on another flashed box too..tryed re scaning but to no joy.
anyone any ideas is it down to the softwere connections all ok its a puzzler.....................................
