I'm using a crossover cable from my PC to my GC but I want to be able to both use the internet through my other card and GC stream, which one of my friends can do but he can't help me at all.
This is what I get when I try to load a game, I got the save file and everything because I turned my other connection off but now it comes down to wanting to have both on at once so can anyone help me here?

When I change the IP and DNS do I have to change it back when not streaming the GC images. Also do I have to change the IP and DNS when trying to play GC images from the computer? If I have a second ethernet card does htis make a seperate local area connection with it's own IP and DNS address which I can change to connect to the GC?
Please I really need help with this!
Thanks in Advance!

in reply to DTness's problem the one about browsing the interent and streaming/ripping at the same time... what you need to do if you you are running win xp/win 2000.. is go to the control panel then to network connections, from here you can see all your interent settings and networks, now.. right click on your internets icon then go to properties, then from here click on the 'advanced' tab and there is a sub heading called 'internet connection sharing'.. beneath this there is a tick box called 'Allow other network users to connect through this cimputers internet connection... un tick this then click ok. now the gamecube cannot acces the internet which isnt a proble as you never need to go online. so when you are streaming or ripping it wont disable or steal your internets speed.

In reply to KenkaiRyu's problem should never need to revert fromthe dns and ip settings you have when you configured your pso/pc. if the problem is arrising because you have more pcs networked from this card as well, ie through a hub then maybe you should try it on your other ethernet card. if the problem is because you actually want to play pso online when not streaming games you should buy another memory card off ebay and save the generic pso online settings onto this card so you wont have any problems playing online.. then once you are not streaming simply change the mem cards around.

Hey, are there minimum requirements to using this? Because a few days ago I could use my desktop to load Tales of Symphonia, but now I'm on vacation, and it just doesn't want to load from my laptop.
The laptop is 1.2 GHz, 20 GB HDD, 256 MB RAM.
Blah.

When using Cubesoft Phoenix you do not have to change your IP settings to 192.168.1.32? I have a router is there anyway I could foward a port or something in the router page to use the gamecube?

I strongly recommend isntalling a dedicated NIC for the Gamecube into the PC you intend to stream from. If you attempt to run it on the same subnet as your router it could disrupt the rest of your network during streaming.

Thanks IceMonkey but the thing is the space where my other PCI slot has a usb card (its not plugged into the pci slot obviously it just takes up the back slot and is plugged into the motherboard) I have 2 usb plugs in the front. Well anyway does anyone know where I can pick up a copy of PSO? I can't find it anywhere except eBay.

You wont find pso for sale new in any retial outlets because its been dicontinued. so the only way you can findit is second hand. so check the second hand part of all your fave video games stores, then if no luck youll have to buy off the web.. either ebay / buy rite games or lik sang. if you are interested in any of those online stores just copy and paste it into google...

For those of you trying to stream with a home Internet router, you can configure the router to use addresses in the 192.168.1.x range with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0. If you use the router to auto-configure attached PC's just make sure that it is giving out addresses in that range witht he exclusion of the 192.168.1.32 and 192.168.1.100 addresses. They should be manually configured for the Gamecube and streaming PC respectively. All devices should be attached to the router using patch cables.

DTness:
There is no guarantee that you will be able to browse the Internet and stream at the same time. Some have gotten it to work although others can't for one reason or another. It would be helpful to know if you're using an Internet router of any kind. As far as the network conenctions go, they both need to be enabled. They also need to use addresses that are on different logical networks. The one connected to the Gamecube on the PC is using 192.168.1.100/24 so the other NIC should use something in the 192.168.0.0/24 network or something like that. Just note that it also needs to be in the same network as the addresses used by the router if applicable. If your router auto-configures connected PC's make sure it's not giving out addresses in the 192.168.1.0/24 range. You should not have Internet Connection Sharing enabled on either adapter. The segment you have the Gamecube connected to does not need Internet access which is what ICS would be used for.

Icemonkey say I have the setup so my GC is on another NIC card and I have my router plugged into the other. How should I configure the NIC card with the GC on it and should I do anything to my router settings if I have the second NIC card just for GC?
And how do I configure my router to do that just for the GC? Please help!
Thanks.
