Replug, go to the scan menu, select n*l ie cable bf in the provider line, select keep/leave bouquets in the bouquet line, switch off fast scan, start the scan.

I tried this but the only cable provider I can select is Kable deutschland. N*l doesn't come up.
you'll need to replace your cable.xml file. see is there one here: http://oggnogg.4shared.com/
I tried two different cable.xml files that were for n*l but cable providers selection never changed. When I deleted the scan.conf file the only option I had was kable deutsch.
that happened my nannys one before with sportster pro. you have to see if theres a new service file and bouqets file or reflash with a different image.
Consoles:
XBOX360 Falcon console with Lite-On 74850C
PS3 80gb phat model with 120gb hdd
PS3 60gb model
PS3 modded on 3.55

@Daveyie84
You have to replace the cables.xml in the right subdirectory.
Some images have the file in var/tuxbox/config and some in share/tuxbox.
If you ftp to the dbox you are landing inside the var directory.

That's what I was doing wrong, I got the n*l options now. Thanks for your help.
Another question if I did a scan now and lost all my channels (worst case scenario), would I be able to get them back by using my backup service file?

Thats the reason i wrote to select leave current in the bouquet line.
A successfull scan create a new services.xml. The bouquets are gone after a failed scan with the wrong option.
You can always upload services.xml and bouquets.xml to var/tuxbox/config/zapit if you want. You have to reboot the dbox after that.

hi guys...im a complete newbie to the dreambx...not a clue!my fellas boss has asked me to "fix" his box so no pressure!when i plug the box in it says there are no transponders and the provider list has bsk#yb but i think he got it from germany on the net so maybe set for uk ...i already have a null modem cable and a checked emo's library but dont know what a nic card is and was worried the info was only relevant to the uk....so can someone tell me what my first step is...im in dublin.he also informs me that he wants this to run on his s#y not cable...is that possible?

Connect the sat box to the dish and do a scan for astra 28.2
Thats it.
It makes no sense to flash a image for cable. That doesn't help.

A satellite box has an tuner for sat, a cable box for cable and a dvb-t box for dtt.
A sat tuner can only handle a signal from a satellite.

Thats a box for satellite.
I don't know why some blokes come to the idea it would be possible to watch sky for free via satellite.

Has anybody got a new services files for Dublin. I've lost a lot of the music channels, I heard they changed the frequency. My box is a bit delicate so can't rescan.

HI guys,
I posted this in another part of the forum but i think it is better in here. (sorry mods for double posting)
I have a dbox2 i used to have Nutreno on this box but after the keybchange in Dublin i got someone to put on blade trinity image however there was a channel line up change over the last few days and when i done a re-scan ( that took nearly an hour compared to 2-3 mins with nutreno as the fast scan does not pick up anyting at all and i have to do a full scan to get anything) it did not find any channels on fast scan when i changed to all uk scanning i am getting about 50 channels only. should i change back to neutrino ? if so has someone got a beginners guide on how to do this and does anyone have an image they could let me have?
Thanks for the help guys
