When I finally downloaded Tsmuxer software and the conversion seemed to work, but what puzzled me the most is: the mb of the file itself. I mean, I downloaded Bleach and Naruto Shippuden series from Dattebayo.com. However, in this case, let me use Bleach Movie #2 as an example. When I downloaded it via BitTorrent and it showed 700Mb, but when converting (from video clip, not mkv file- I don't know why anyway)... when the conversion was complete, it showed only 4.15MB??? I am confused. How do I do it right way? I mean I read and followed the instruction from Ryu77 on his thread on how to do it...
It should be 700MB instead of 4.15MB, right??? Any helpful advice or suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Thank you very much.
Use ConvertXtoDVD if you have it. You don't need tsMuxer if you're not using MKV or HD videos.

Yes, I agree. BUT THE THING ABOUT THAT IS: When Dattebayo starts to convert the anime version which is in HD Quality from .MKV file and merge with subtitle into one video that contains subtitle within. You know what I mean? I mean originally this video was in .MKV file, but they added subtitle and .mkv file into one... that is why I am confused because when I complete the torrenting the episode, it came out as "VIDEO CLIP" rather than .mkv file/subtitle file. Get what I am trying to say? So, that is why I used tsv (spelling?) software to convert, but the problem with this result was: the original MB was not shown as the converted- it only shows 5M or 9MB rather than original one (700MB).
Now, that is why I wanted to ask around to find a way to see if I can get around to that converting Video Clip into the format that PS3 unit can play, you know? Because the file/format originally was from .mkv file/sub. file rather than VIDEO CLIP ITSELF. So.. I hope that what I am trying to explain actually make sense, you know?

Yeah, I watch Naruto too. :) I know it's in HD now but even though it was MKV it is now AVI since that's what Dattebayo uses. I would still recommend ConvertXtoDVD unless you have an MKV Naruto episode.

Run it through mkv2vob and it will fix your issue. I had the same problem with an AC3 track of a a movie, I run it through mkv2vob and output it as m2ts. tsMuxer was then able to see both video and tracks...where before it could only see the video track. Hope it helps you! :)

Only by creating a Blu-ray disc using tsMuxer.
Thanks for that info....I just used the ripped M2ts & insert that into Megui..

Question: Anyone
Why do torrent release groups release BD(x264)rips thats not the full resolution? Ex..They just released IronMan but its 1280x528.Why not release it 1280x720 full 720p?

They did? Cool! I wish they would stop doing non standard resolutions too. They should either do 1920x1080p or 1280x720p. As to why they do that....I don't know. :(

The groups that do these encodes have playback on the PC in mind, not a BD player. The cropped borders are taken away so the encoder can "concentrate" fully on the picture, rather than the black borders and the picture.
There is a group/person that does standard HD resolutions, I cannot remember their name though.
EDIT: Don't forget, the PS3 can play non-standard HD resolutions in m2ts format, it will add the borders automatically. It's only when you want BD/AVCHD format you need the standard HD resolutions.

Hmmm, when you put the MKV file in tsMuxer what do you get? Can you at least see both the video and audio track?

Have never ripped a BD before so I can't help you there. All I can tell you is that you need the video track, the audio track and if you want you can add the subtitles and then using tsMuxer create a Blu-ray disc or AVCHD. If you are having problems with ripping the BD you should ask Ryu77 or odin24 about it....they have experience in this. Good luck! :)

It depends on a couple of things... like;
1. Why not 1080p
2. Media size (DVD5 or DVD9, or BD25)
The file you need is generally the largest m2ts file found in the BDMV/Stream folder, sometimes the main movie is a combination of smaller files, tsMuxeR can help with the by opening the proper MPLS file in the BDMV/Playlist folder... but sometimes it's a guessing game. Or there is an easier way using eac3to (command line) and it will tell you exactly which m2ts files make up the main movie.
I believe there is some "how-to's" throughout this thread.

I found a tool that read mpls files but i haven't had time to use it do you know anything about this tool?

Do you know where i can find a guide to using this way? I don't know anything about using command line without a GUI.Thxs

I've never tried BDinfo, it looks like it'll do the trick though. I'm going to stick with eac3to though.
To use eac3to you need to do the following. First you need to tell your PC where eac3to is, I'll use my config as an example.
c:\users\chris\documents\programs\eac3to
Then immediately after that line (separated by one space) you need to tell it where to look for the BD file.
c:\users\chris\videos\Blu-ray movie folder
Everything will look like this
c:\users\chris\documents\eac3to c:\users\chris\videos\Blu-ray movie folder
Of course the "Blu-ray movie folder" will have only the untouched BDMV and Certificate folders in it. Also, command line is much easier if everything is closer to the root of you hard drive, in my case I have several sub directories which makes it kinda a pain, but I'm will to deal with it... cause I like eac3to.

I think it might be codec related. Speed racer is VC-1 and The Kill Bill's are MPEG4/AVC h264. What codec pack do you have installed? I suggest CCCP.

Hi everyone,
I'm a beginner in this BD to DVD-9 game here, and I hope you can help me with the following problem: AviSynth seems unable to detect the correct duration of the source file. Here are the steps that I follow:
1. Use TSmuxer to demux 264 video and AC3 audio. Upon completion, TSmuxer reports the number of video frames processed which seems to be reasonable for 24fps rate.
2. Use MeGUI to create the AVS script -> here's where I notice the total number of frames is about 20x what TSmuxer reported. This is the content of the script:
DirectShowSource("M:\test.264",fps=23.9759856527702,audio=false)
#deinterlace
#crop
#resize
#denoise
3. Encode it to RAWAVC format anyway using "x264: Standalone-AVC-HD" at 4000Kbps, but abort it in the middle of the 2nd pass when the output filesize is greater than the source file whose bitrate as reported by PowerDVD fluctuates between 15 and 25MBps.
4. Play the output file with PowerDVD, it is around the target bitrate I set (PQ is very close to the original btw) but the content is the looping over and over of the original clip.
Does anyone see this problem or know what may be the problem. Here's the version of the relevant apps I'm using:
TSmuxer 1.7.6b
MeGUI 0.3.0.2015
AviSynth 2.57
x264 983

When using "DirectShowSource" your source needs to be in a container, i.e. m2ts or mkv. Your problem can be resolved one of two ways, I suggest just demuxing the audio (like step one above), and using the m2ts straight from the BD rip... this is how I alway recode my BD rips.
Or, I think the latest version of MeGUI does take raw sources as input, but the first line of your script must be;
RawSource (instead of DirectShowSource)
Personally, I would go with my first suggestion.

I tried the first method like you suggested and now the duration is about 2x the original. The 2nd method does not work for me at all: MeGUI returns AviSynth script error "no function named Rawsource"
Is it possible that PowerDVD's h264 decoder is interfering somehow? Because when I play the 264 file and the original m2ts, PowerDVD's info shows the same duration as I would get with MeGUI (the playback does end before the progress indicator reaches 100%). I'm using PowerDVD 7 Ultra.
EDIT: So I uninstalled PowerDVD and installed ffdshow r2137. Now WMP is unable to play h264 video, and though I have the correct duration in MeGUI I don't have the preview video.
