Hey Sicdude, I have a 2gb mem card. All i have on there now is about 60 to 65 megs of stuff on it, but when i check the memory under properties, it says that i have 850 megs used. Why? I know for a fact that there is nothing on that card except those 60 to 65 megs.

Hey Sicdude,
I have a PSP Star Wars Slim unit. My current firmware is 3.71. How do custom it to 3.52 M33-4? I read your guide, but maybe I am missing something; I though you neede to make a pandors battery.
Thanks!

you can't put slims on 3.51m33-4
only 3.60m33 or 3.71m33-4 but you will need a pandora battery to do so

Backing up "NAND" before down/up grading.
I was looking around on some other forums and saw that it is recommended that you make a copy of your "NAND" and store it just in case you brick during installation of CFW. It is one of the options when you boot with pandoras battery. I was not sure if this only applies to slim PSP's or to both models. If I was following the discussion correctly, it sounded like you could brick beyond pandora's ability to recover if you don't have this information backed up.
It also sounds like the NAND is unique to each PSP.
Is all this correct?
Figured if anybody could provide correct answers the Sicdude could.
Thanks

yeah it is safer to backup your nand as there has been cases of unbrickable bricks :)

Why only 3.60m33 or 3.71m33-4? I figured I would need to use Pandora battery, but I didn't see it mentioned in that particular guide. Is there a guide on the site which shows this type of firmware change?
Thanks

I trust you. I was just curious as to why there were issues with other versions. BTW, I walked into a local GameStop and looked at some of there used Fat PSP units. Most of them had been hacked! I am going back there today to pick one up at $129! What version do you recommend I get?

Any firmware version will do,
if it's a lower version you can upgrade to the higher ones easy enough :)

Hi there im a bit noobish here but have managed to update to 3.71M33. Now just to confirm re the updates to get to 3.71 M33-4 do I have to do updates 1, 2 and 3 first or just do number 4 in the guide. Sorry if this has been asked before (i'm sure it has) but my head is mince right now and I dont want to cock it all up at this stage. Cheers.

Maybe I didn't explain clearer. I'm sorry, my PSP is a Fat. I've tried every possible method given to me on the 3.71 M33-4 to boot my ISO's, whose names I have shortened (I have Tokimeki Memorial, SD Gundam G Generation Portable, and Super Robot Taisen MX Portable). My memstick is legal (I know cause I bought it personally from Best Buy). My PS1 games won't boot. They used to all work before I updated. Luckily, I do have my SNES emulator and Star Ocean... But I'm really ticked off about everything else. I'd appreciate it if this problem could be resolved.
