It only gets as far as doing preparations in pink writing then it goes blank and then nothing.

Right I've got past that part now but its now saying this
3.52 M33 Firmware Creator
Loading 1.50 firmware... SHA! of 1.50 psar doesn't match expected.
Press x to exit.
Any ideas until I have to go down the pandora route ?

Well I stumbled across a easy fix I downloaded this http://dl.qj.net/Recovery-3.40-LE-adapte...14259/catid/114 and renamed it to EBOOT.PBP put it in the /PSP/GAME/PS3NEWS_ARE_STEALERS etc folder and put a recovery pack in psp/game. I restarted the bricked psp and pushed X and the plugin booted up and let me use the recovery pack in psp/game folder.

HI sry for the late reply sicdude... i feel bad when u reply so much faster than i do... my house only has one computer and my brother likes to hog it a lot...
anyways when u say firmware its when i go to system info to check it right?? (i know... im a noob) It says... 3.30 OE-A (sorry for being so bad at this...)
forgot to tell u... i do have devhook .52 on it... right now... should i reformat it again n try again?? (the first two times i did it was without devhook... and it had the same error so i dun think it'll effect it... but if u think it will then i'll reformat it again)

format the memstick, then put the needed files on to do the upgrade now go into recovery (hold r shoulder button down at start up) and go to configuration and change the kernel it should now work :)
also try using the easy winstaller http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/460892

not everybody has a wireless connection, so it's easier for them to read how to do it manually lol

Dang, this bricked my psp for some reason, really strange. My backup battery was also not pandorized like I though I did. So I did the hardware pandora mod, then it freezes at formating flash0 with V3. So i gotta remake the memory stick with V1, but I don't have a memory stick reader just normal SD.
Anyway, how is 3.80 M33? is it buggy?

okay... i reformatted my MS and i re-did the first few steps (which im already stuck...) and tried to run M33creator... same thing happened... file 150.PBP cannot be opened...
when i change the kernel will it change wut it says on my system info? like isntead of 3.30 oe-a it'll say sumthing like 1.50? cuz nothing changed when i checked system info..
after i failed at everything i decided to try puttin M33 into my normal game folder instead of game150... i can run the game now... but still 150.PBP file could not be opened...
now with all that said... i tried the winstaller... it worked! :D
I can't install 3.71 tho... dunno wuts wrong... but not a big deal... i got most my games working... only one i can't get working and thats Juiced 2... do u know anything about it?? do i NEED 3.71?? or am i asking the wrong guy at the wrong place... if i am... i apologize...

if you are at 3.52m33 you will need to install update 3 or 4 to be able to upgrade to 3.71m33-4 or 3.80m33-2

Sicdude, I'd like to thank you for your comprehensive guide. It really helped me a lot! Upgraded from 3.10OE-A to 3.80 M33-2 and it's working like a charm! Cheers!

Hi
I am on 3.52 m33 4 right now and am trying to upgrade to 3.71 m33. I do the following as the instructions say:Download 3.71 M33 and 3.71 M33 Update. Then Copy the UPDATE directory into /PSP/GAME/UPDATE and copy the EBOOT.PBP of the 3.71 Sony updater there but with name "371.PBP". So inside the /PSP/GAME/UPDATE folder I have EBOOT.PBP, umodule.prx and 371.PBP. When I execute the program, it says that I need 78% battery, but It is fully charge and pluged in. It does the same thing when I try to install 3.80m33. Any help anyone.

hey,
i used the pandora easy installer on my fat bricked psp
all went well but when i got to the psp screen it was blank i pressed X it installed a firmware but when i turned the psp on i heard sound but no screen
help?

hey sicdude can you help me out? i've been following your guide all throughout my friends downgrades and updates for their custom firmware and I trust your guides more than anything else... I just have some problems with the 1.50 kernel. I am on 3.80 m33-2. I followed the steps and downloaded via D_A's site. but all I get on my xmb is a corrupted data icon. my kernel is set to 3.80 so i guess i'm putting it on the right folder which is X:/psp/game... i just don't know where to go from here...
