Quote: less dust is good...means less cleaning...
I was surprised by the lack of dust when I put the new MB in. Before I reversed the cover fan to blow out I used to have to blow out the Freezer 7 Pro and case every two weeks or so or the temps would start going up. Now it's been months and like I said, there was a very small amount of dust. The air intake is a slot on the bottom and I cut some strips of 1/4 foam like what comes with motherboards and put the foam in front of the intake grill. Stays very clean and you can re-use to foam strip by just washing it. The only thing that I have blowing in is the stock front 80mm fan. This increases the airflow through the side air vent. Really cools well! Ask Sam! I have some of the lowest temps around and it's reasonably quiet too! Not as quiet as Sams but my goal was cooling at all loads! If there is any flaw at all it's the brightness of the blue LEDs for power and hard drive. In the dark they are really bright! LOL!! The case has good quality and is tool-less! At $60 (Newegg) it's not expensive either and comes in black as well!
Best Regards,
Russ

It certainly gets the job done well. That's not to say there aren't more powerful cooling setups out there... Stick a large quiet GPU in there and you'd feel the heat!

Then your case flow is inadequate. You can't expect a fanless graphics card to stay cool without adequate case ventilation.

It's tailored to my needs and it works. My buddy put his 8800GTX in it and played some games and it cooled real well as the video card heat doesn't go through the CPU Cooler or even stay in the case, but right out the the rear fan. I'm weird as I don't play intense games but I like to watch other people play! LOL!! I remember when I used to game, years ago. Things sure have changed as the Graphics are un-believable! Broke out the "Heat Pipe' and had a ball too! Adam's a cool guy and I had fun! LOL!! He brought over something called "The Orange Box and Supreme commander and I enjoyed watching him and his wife play them. I just can't keep up with everything you have to do! LOL!! Gotten old and slow! made for a real good Saturday though! LOL!! A good time was had by all!

Lol not even I can keep up with Supreme Commander, but I enjoy to play it, despite my suckiness. I think it's a brilliant game. I love the Orange Box as well, had a lot of fun playing that.
As for the 8800GTX, it'll pretty much cool itself, I was thinking of a nice quiet GPU such as the fanless one I have.

First off, you're not 19 and spend all your time playing games! LOL!! I did enjoy watching someone that knew how to play it though!
As far as tyour video card goes I have no idea of what you have. I can't seem to find you specs in your profile! LOL!!
BTW, that CPU cooler of yours may be good but they should provide a better method than those "paper clips they provide! Loved the twist tie! LOL!!

LOL!! I knew that! Sam and I have known each other for a long time!
The guy I was talking about is the sort that will put his computer at risk if he needs something and wants to download it. The computer he has is one I built for him for a Wedding present and he needs to get a job! I've fixed his computer three times now where he's gotten viruses! If a warning pops up and he wants something he go's for it! Not smart! LOL!! I got mad the last time because I checked the AV log and saw what he did! I told him next time, bring money! LOL!! I'm tired of doing it for free!

That's what I always to do! I also wipe the drive with Killdisk II first Three freekin times! LOL!! I asked him the other day how come I haven't had a virus in 3 years and you had 3 in 2 months. and he tells me the AV I put on the machine sucks! Funny, I used it for years and have a current license and never had any difficulties with viruses. I'm not renewing it again after March because Kaspersky is better and much more invisible! I can tell you what it is though! Friggin LimeWire! Downloading Porn! LimeWire is the Virus capital of the Internet! I make part of my living because idiot people go there to download a song and wind up with a 115kb file when all the others are like 4,000kb. I love it when they say "but it was smaller and I didn't want to wait" or "It's the only place that I could find it"! Bless the dumb-a$$es for they keep me in Uncle Sam's green stamps! ROFLMAO!!

Actually I would build exactly what I have now and have two of them! LOL!! I've been at this a lot of years and there's no single component worth that kind of money unless you have a specific need for something special! Even high quality 24" led displays can be had for a lot less money!

Cheer up! 2 years ago all I had was a crappy P4 Prescot, 3.0GHz, 800 fsb, 512 MB of ram on an Asus P4P800 SE MB in a cheap case. I sold it and made a little bit of money and moved on a D-940 Dual Core. 3.40GHz. 800 fsb, 1 GB of ram in a cheap case. That went into a Cooler master case like I have now. Put it back in the cheap case and sold it for a profit! Built the E4300. Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3, 2 GB Corsair XMS in the Cooler Master case. Changed CPU to an E6750 only to discover that the CPU wasn't supported by the MB fully! Got an exchange from GigaByte for a GA-P35-DS3R Rev. 1.0 and exchanged it for the present Rev. 2.0 MB when I had a slight problem with it. I also build inexpensive computers for office applications, that run at stock speeds! E4300 with 2x512 Ram and on-board graphics, 80 GB IDE drive, DVD burner, 500 watt PS, Inexpensive but solid Gigabyte MB, all in a case like mine for under $600 with Keyboard and optical Mouse. I don't sell monitors as the shipping kills me. They can get one from BestBuy or Frys cheaper than I can get them on line! That money helps too! In two years I've gone from a clunker to a fast C2D and haven't had to break the bank to do it! Just takes a little work and patience!
I have fun doing it and have built about 47 this past year. I don't make a lot of money doing it but I sell enough and make $100 or so building each one.
Best Regards,
theone

I use an X1900XT with a Thermalright HR-03 cooler. As for the cable ties, lol it gets the job done! I agree the clip system is a bit naff, but they're easier to use if the cooler is installed outside the case. Unfortunately, sometimes that's not an option, including my case.
My PC specs can be found in my earliest blog post.
Lol @ the viruses. I turned up to a LAN party last week without AVG control center running by default. An instant message popped up from a friend I hadn't spoken to in ages that read "www.free-offers-for-you.com" - no actual text. I ignored it, assuming he had malware. Moments later, the Sasser worm appeared on my PC! I had a fun time getting rid of that.
As for Limewire, that sentence makes me cringe. I can't believe people still fall for the 131KB file so often, it's really not hard. Fool me once, shame on Limewire, fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three or more times, I'm a complete dumbass.

CA E-Trust is very good! I used it for three years before I tried Kaspersky! My license is good until March but I've been using Kaspersky since about last April or so! The biggest difference is that I no longer need any Spyware or add-ware protection as Kaspersky does a better job than any of those programs. CA E-Trust was very good at AV though! Never got any viruses at all! Except when I ignored their advice! LOL!! Stupid is as Stupid does! LOL!!
