Thanks paul managed to get dbox soughted ist time round, rescanning right now for channels.
ps: how did you manage to change to the dalek screenshot and the moving horse on the lcd , is it easy to do?

Hi Paul thanks a million for the download..
now when i try IFA I'm getting the following message??
*** Achtung: RSH ist bei fast allen Linux-Images nicht konfiguriert/aktiviert!
*** RSH wird also nur funktionieren, falls ihr euren Linux-Kernel gepatcht habt
any helpers??

can anyone help me with setting up direct recording. i am able to FTP to my dbox and can ping it but dbox is not picking up the pc.

As a total beginner to all this, I'd loke to thank Big Dunc for the fantastic help and the patience he should in helping me to set up my box. Wonderful forum, I'm totally commited to this now. As I get abit more adept, I only hope that I can give as much help as I received.

Hello Charlie , sorry to say if you have three scarts on the back .You have made the mistake of many and bourght a D box 1. I think they are virtually impossible to get going Sorry mate ...........Paul

Ive just got my hands on a dbox2 sagem. Connected it to the tv and all seems good sporster 1.08 loads up fine. But I have no channels how do I go about adding channels/ doing a service scan. I live south-east england and current provider is telewest (now virgin).
Any help would be awesome!

Ok I buggered up my dbox now says kein system which I assume is bad. Can I fix this? I have a sagem box intel 1x chip avia 600l has anyone got a reliable image they can send to me and should I use IFA to flash?
Is reflashing gonna solve my kein system?

hello,im new here,but i have had a nokia dbox2 for 2 years now.last night i tried to watch some sports,movies etc,but the chanels are staying black screened.
i done a deep scan,reboted thebox etc,what i usually do when i loss channels,but this time i seem only to be getting certain chanels.I can get only around2 movie chanals(like sky drama hid) and only a couple of sports chanels etc.
there seems to be a signal,as the signal bar is up quite high on nearly all the chanles,but i get a blank screen.the last time this happened ,i lost all the chanels and it said "no epg" so i got a friend to flash it with sportster.
does this sound like i will need to flash my box again?or has a setting been changed by my child?
any help would be appreciated.

Hi, New to the forums :-P
I'm borrowing my friends DBox and have some questions if someone can be so kind as to help me.
It is running the Sportster(?) image, setup for UK Telewest, but I think it is running the wrong ucode (is this important?).
When I plug it in I get 280 or so channels listed. About 35% work but the rest have no picture. Do I need to setup keys, or scam, or cams (I don't know what any of these are, or how to set them up).
I did a full scan last night, it took about 15 hours, but I still have the same problem with blank channels.

try changing the cam,press the blue button and then into the sporstster menu,take note of the cam setting so you can restore it ,just incase you make it worse.
when you say you are getting no chanles,is it a blank screen?or does it say "no epg"?
put your dbox on to a chanel thats blank,change the cam,and straight away in the background the picture will come on,if it is the cam thats wrong.

i am having problems with my nokia dbox2
the other day it froze asn wen i turned it back on alot of the channels where blank but still showing the epg
i have rescanned with a few channels return bit the majority still blank
wat is the fix to this problem thank you
im guessing this is a emu problem but how do i fix it

Thanks for the reply.
I get No EPG on some channels, others show the EPG but the screen is black. I have noticed the channels that do not work show NAG in the lower right. Channels that work don't have NAG lit.
When I press the blue button all I get is CamD reset. I tried that, but it didn't seem to change anything. What is CAM and where can I configure it?
