The cables.xml is for cable.
Upload the terrestrial.xml to /etc/tuxbox, do a cold reboot, go to the autoscan menue, select the dvb-t tuner, select chorus mmds.

Download the services.xml from your dbox2 and check which frequencies were found. Maybe its possible to calculate the valid frequency range.

Hi its me again cant connect my Dbox to the computer anymore, my dbox2 only starts up to the debuge mode with the word lade and then goes to blank green screen.
Flashed it with sportster 1.7 2 x image UK and everything went ok and it reset itself to rebooth and this is as far as it goes now.
Any suggestions as to how I connect up again to my computer

Nokia DVB 2000 aka Dbox1. This is different from a Dbox2. You need a hardware cam and a funcard. The keys need updating manually and it's often more hassle than it's worth. Mgb17 is more knowledgeable in this area. My advice would be to whack it on ebay and get a Dbox2.. :(

Its depends on the knowledge and skill if its worth to get a dbox1 going.
If you know how to programm a funcard and you got a dbox1 with amon cam its pretty easy.
A dbox1 is a nice second or third box if you get one cheap enough with amon cam.

You need a funcard, a programming device for the funcard, a amon cam fitted to the dbox1 and a source for new keys.
If you have to buy new equipment its maybe not worth the hassle.

Just wondering if anyone else here splits the connection with their DBOX and keeps the NTL box also running? I heard that there is a certain amount of talkback on the NTL boxes and if it's left unplugged and unused for months while your still paying for the cable it may look a bit suspicious on NTLs side? If they even bother check that stuff though...

What do you think?

HELP

Box is not "hacked" and will have to be set up mate!!!!!!!!!

and does it stop at "kein System" or "loading kernel"? if so, perhaps you flashed a 1x image to a 2x machibe or vice versa.[/quote]

lol - the good news was, I had one for sale! If it says loading kernel when booting, it's a bad flash. Try re-flashing using IFA. If you get the same result, a trick I've heard of is to purposely flash a 1x image to your 2x box. The result will be Kein System, but when you once again flash the 2x image it should boot normally..
