actually the verbatim i used was a dvd+r.my mistake.when i bought them they were labeled dvd-r on the package.but anyway, the sony dvd+r at 4x write speed outperformed the verbatim dvd+r 8x.so sony dvds are better than verbatim.also mfr of dvds plays into this also.the sony is manofactured by ricoh co.(ricohjpn) and the verbatim mfr is mitsubishi chemical corp. (mcc).so you might deduce that ricoh disc are better than mcc.people debate about media all the time.

Having problems with UEFA champions leage 2005. I cant seem to find a patch for it by googling. Is there another way to fix? Or does someone have a fixed iso for this plz? I am happy to provide photographic evidence of game and reciept if legality is involved, just need to stop kids ruining games!

Version 7 - Matrix Infinity - Ritek G04
God of War, The Guy Game, and Gran Turismo 4 are the only PS2 games that I haven't been able to successful burn. Just waiting on CDdvdgen to finish up God of War.
Notable Burns:
Stars Wars Battlefront
Mercenaries
Fifa Street
NBA Street V3
Using DVDdecrypter, nothing special needed on my side!

The copy of starwars battlefront that I copied "worked" but it was choppy on the menu screens and the music always skipped. I do not consider this a successful burn. Maybe others do, we should clarify.

i copied star wars bf to verbatim dvd+r 8x at 1x and menus messed up.then burned to sony dvd+r 4x at 1x and it came out perfect.same burn settings were used on both.in hindsight i think it might have worked on the verbatim dvd+r at 2x.i mentioned this earlier in this thread.

I just popped in Star Wars Battlefront and I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary! It's a game I never really got into, but it seems like a decent game.

THIS WHOLE THREAD IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME.
HAS NOBODY NOTICED THAT SUCCESS WILL DEPEND MAINLY ON WHAT BURNER AND MEDIA YOU ARE USING.
BASICALLY TRY THE DAM THING YOUR SELF AND IF IT DOESN'T WORK THEN SEARCH FOR APPROPIATE FIXES.
IF YOUR GOING TO CLAIM SUCCESS AS TO A BACKUP WORKING, PLEASE INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING.
BURNER USED I.E. PIONEER108
MEDIA USED I.E. RITEK GO5
GAMES SUCCESSFULLY BACKED UP. I.E. THIS IS FOOTBALL 2004
NEED FOR SPEED 2
LMA 2005
PRINCE OF PERSIA SANDS OF TIME
BURNOUT 3
MORTAL COMBAT DECEPTION,DEADLY
ALLIANCE
WRC4
GTA SAN ANDREAS
COLIN MCRAE RALLY 2005
STARWARS BATTLEFRONT
GT4 PRO
MANHUNT
DRIVER 3
TOCA 2
GHOST RECON, JUNGLE STORM
007 EVERYTHING OR NOTHING
OK SO THOSE GAMES LISTED WERE SUCCESSFULLY BACKED UP 1.1 WITH NO PROBLEMS.
JUST TAKE A MINUTE TO INCLUDE BURNER AND MEDIA INFO, WILL SAVE ALOT OF CONFUSION.

edited by ddp i said that some games dont need rebuilding, some times people get problems because of the burner and or the media.
one example, starwars battlefront requires no special attention, but some people have had problems burning.
BY providing the burner info and media info will reduce confusion as to a game needing any special attention.
understand the simple point im trying to make.

one more thing all the way through this thread its quite obvious some people arnt aware that some burners and media are factors in a successfull backup.
eg. Hitachi GSA burner, wont burn ps2 games at all, even though its a expensive burner.
my pioneer 108 burns all ps2 games fine.
some new people would have found this helpful in one way or another.
its just little edited by ddp like you dont think other people may find relevant information helpful.
if your not going to add anything that may help or guide people, dont bother posting you jump up little mammys boy.

Manh, regarding Midnight Club 3 Dub Edition, can you play the backup online? Any special procedure needed (i.e. patch) to play online as well? Thanks.
