Im not such a newbie to burning,as I am to these forums, ive been reading Afterdawn forums almost 2 years or so.Ive copied about 100 games all work fine in more then one console, and ive copied countless dvds all with success. One thing i dont know is game re-compiling.Ive got the Premium Edition MK Armageddon,And the Midway Arcade Collection, I was wondering if someone could point me in the steps for pulling the MK's 1-2 off the Midway Collection disc, and the 3 Ultimate off the MK Armageddon, cause thats one area im utterly dumbfounded in..any help or pointing to steps would be appreciated.Much appreciation to anyone who even replies.Thanks.

Okay, I followed the instructions for backing up PS2 CDs with Alcohol 120%. I changed the data type to Playstation 2 and everything. (I'm trying to back up Marvel Vs Capcom 2, I noticed it's the same game used in the images you provided).
But after I burn it and try to load it with the Swap magic CD loader (Fliptop method) I just get the: "Not a valid PS2 disc" message under both Normal boot and Special boot. Does anyone know how to /deal withsolve this problem? Does is matter that I used a CD-RW to burn the backup onto (I just bought some CD-R(s) and burned onto one but I can't check to see if it works 'til I get home)?

Whats "Rectify subchannel data" is it necessary to have it checked, cause I saw a guide saying to check it when burning PSOne?

ISO-burner is a great tool to use to burn ISO images. It worked for me and it is extremely easy to use. you might find it great too

For Marvel vs. Capcom 2, when I got it, it did come with a mdf/mds file. It was very simple to burn this game. First off, the game is with a CD format, not a DVD. If you have the Swap Magic CD loader then that is all you need. As for MVC2, I used ISO Buster to extract the file into a seperate folder and just burned those files just like a data cd. I did not use Nero or Alc120% or anything like that. I just draged the files onto the cd burner drive and then loaded it with the Swap Magic CD loader and it works perfectly. I have the Japanese version, which is really not all that different.

I tried doing what you said and I am still unable to get it to work.

I have a CD Version 3.2 USA Build Swap Magic 3.0 disk. Is there a newer one or a better one that could work better?

Also do you have the link to the torrent to the one you have Downloaded?

Any help would be appreciated, I really want this game again.

@Juggrnaut: i don't believe we are allowed to post torrent links here. Any major TOR site should have it though.
Swap Magic v3.8 is the latest version, a black disc. It has a cheat system built into it.
I use v3.6, which is the green case/white label version & last one made before adding cheat support.

I'm having a problem getting my He Man game working properly. It has a .bin file and a .cue file. I have been using the .cue file on Alcohol to burn it. I use my swap magic 3.8 to boot in in PAL. It boots up but the screen jumps around all crazy. The files came from a torrent. Any suggestions?

Hi.
I am trying to backup Gran Turismo 3. I've tried it through DVD Decrypter and through Alcohol 120% but to no avail. I have noticed though that when I am making the image in Alcohol 120%, as soon as I click 'Image Making Wizard' and Alcohol has loaded the disc info, the data type selection disappears, so I can't select 'Play Station 2'. It is only there if the disc is not inserted. Is there a reason for this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

So you have to a PS2 CD game, you will have to burn it to CD-R disc. YOu can try converting it to DVD using ConsoleMediaPatcher but I can't guarantee it will work.
