ok...i now dled irfanviewer. its suposed to play everything. but wehn i try to play anchroman, it says something like "video not availible, cannot find "vids:xvid" decompressor. wtf does that mean? i have no idea wat to do. can any offer support? sorry for reposting 3 times, but i dont know how to edit my posts.

You shouldn't need to convert the file in the first place to, but for future reference you can't do it simply by renaming the file extension.
If you renamed the file, name it back to what it originally was. Usually movies are released in some kind of video format, and you can use VLC Player http://www.videolan.org/vlc to play video files.

i downloaded the player u gave me a link to above. it can play the movie, YAY!! but how willt his help me burn it on a DVD? it doesnt convert it, does it?

Hi, I've been reading around and trying to find the answer to the problem I have, but no-one else seems to have it.
When I use DVD Decrypter, it is able to do the entire "Read" step perfectly, but when I get to the "Write" part, I select the source and destination, but the little button at the bottom (the "Decrypt" button) never lights up, and at the bottom of the program I get an error reading "Device Not Ready (Medium Not Present)".
I have tried using other applications, but they all give me the same sort of error.
Does anyone know what is wrong?
Help would be much appreciated, or I will have just wasted about $80

You can use software like ConvertXtoDVD, WinAVI, Nero Vision to convert it to DVD format.

Hello, I'm new to this forum and to ripping images.
I would like to rip a .iso or .img
I have tried Alcohol 120% and the only two choices were .ccd or .mds
Also, when ripping the .Img it goes sooo slow! Alcohol 120% said the speed was 0.7x! Buffer memory was at 100% and cpu speed was 0%... how do i get this to go faster? I've practically followed this forum guide and responses given exactly.
Anyone have any idea why it would be ripping so slow? Or is this just natural?
I let it go on its own and it took roughly 40 mins to rip a 500MB image..

ps2 games go to hey i just downloaded a ps2 game and im using swap magic. when every i burn a game that i downloaded it comes on and but the screen keeps jumping so i cant really play the game. ive burnt serval games that i downloaded using Nero or Alcohol 120 and the same thing happens..now ive just downloaded a dbz game for ps2 and i see a bin folder an data folder an irx folder an sles file and a system file.can anybody plz help me burn this game correctly. thanks

Hi i hope someone can help me, i have just read this useful guide to burning ISO images, i have successfully managed to burn the image with alcohol program, iam currently using Vista Ultimate (32-bit), (i dont know if the OS makes a difference), the burn process was successful and i went to play it on my PS2 which simply didnt load the game, it just remained with a black screen, i used to use XP before and never had any problems when burning these type of ISO images, what could i do to check that iam burning the image in a correct way.

i recently dl winning eleven 2007 and the only image file i see is a .img file i think and its only 276KB seems small but anyways i wanted to burn this onto a dvd but i dont know what to use

Hi guys.
I'm trying to burn DDR Party collection on a CD-RW disc and it won't work. I tried it many many many many times. but it wont work. it has a bin and cue file. and i follwed the instrctions on the first post on there and im sure i did everything right. but it still doesn't work. I;m using a swap magic 3.0 cd version. so can anyone help me?

I need help, my ImgBurn doesn't work... I have DVD-R and everything (not sure if settings are ok) and after I select write everything starts ok, but few seconds later my computer says:
DeviceControl (FSCTL_LOCK_VOLUME)Failed
Unable to lock volume for exclusive access
Reason: Access denied (Or something like that)

Pleez help me.Whenever i insert a PS2 disk in my DVD writer,nthng happens.It ds not read the disk.What is the problem??I want to bakup the PS2 disks.Any other method??I have a SAmsung Dvd writer

hey guys, i have done everything everyone has said with the dvd decrypter, iso-read. after it finished reading 2 files came up one was a zip file and the other one was a mds file, can someone tell me which file i burn please?? do i burn the mds file or the zip file??

Well I tried doing this my self a while ago on my DVD-R. And I recorded my Megaman Legends 2. And now I cant delete it, but I want to put Naruto Ultimate Ninja 2 one it but when I use it it says not enought space and its only like 3.82 gb. Also aren't al PS2 games DVD-R not CD-R'S.
