Look for a folder in the root of your drive called NDSSAVE. For example, if you just have one hard drive, check for a folder called C:\NDSSAVE\ and the saves will probably be in there.
Whenever I write the roms and save to my hard drive instead of the SD card, they always default to that folder no matter where I specify the program to write them.

Thanks Mr_Hanky and Krystover for the help!
I am able to copy games over from HDD to the SD and
play. But if I copy more than 4 to 5 games into SD,
the M3 won't load any of them, it just hang there.
And if I just copy 4 or 5 games, the bigger ROM (>32MB)
sometimes have blank screen when loaded. And I can
add more ROM to the SD anymore on the 2nd time. I need
to format it in order to make it work again. Is it
the M3 problem or the SD problem? I have the Kingston
2GB SD from Buy.com. Is it good compatible with the M3?
Thanks again!

Turn on your M3 in DS mode, go to settings then press select, yo will have three options, one of these wll show you what firmware you currently have installed on your M3, i can't check what option shows this as my DS is 48 miles away ¬_¬

Check my guide at the beginning of the thread, it says near the top how to update the M3 firmware.

I used some parts of the guide in a technical essay I wrote, I disscussed wether I could use it with my tutor and was told that if I added my course info to the guide to prove it's my work it's fine.

isn't the nds mode cropped screen too? in gba mode you can just change the settings in the main menu to play gba games on the top screen. is the quality better in nds mode? like super mario for nes. will it be better to use nesDS to play it or just use the gamemanager?

The newer version is the same size as a GBA game so will only stick out as far as a GBA game would.
The older version is slightly larger, see this chart for an idea of how far it sticks out:

is the M3 Perfect SD V2 the same as the M3 Perfect SD (Slim)?

doesn't the M3 pro not have any type of memory on board? that means all games would have to be "Fast Boot" 4x.. right? A friend of mine bought one and he can only get games to work when its in 4xDMA mode

I've never thought about it, I've always assumed the M3 Pro was only missing the hardware required to play GBA games.
Looks like I need to do some research :-)
EDIT:
Well whaddya know, it dosn't have it :P
Quote: The M3 pro doesn't have the 32 MB of RAM that the perfect and lite have so that why the normal mode does not work. Normal mode only works for games <= 32MB where the M3 loads it to the RAM instead of reading directly from the card.
So having a Pro will lower the compatibilty overall, however only a few games should be affected (can't think of many that must have Normal load to work)
Is a problem for larger homebrew applications though.

fast boot only loads the first batch into the memory though doesn't it? so it shouldn't affect compatibility too much.. just in regards to what settings to use

Fast Boot runs the game directly from the SD/CF card no additional memory needed - hence why it has always been a good idea to get a fast card, normal load moved the game into RAM (where it was guarenteed to run fast from) but only games under 32MB would fit.
GBA games needed to be copied into the RAM to work, but as it's not there they obviously can only use the DS's RAM (4MB)

With the link you gave me, after i click on M3 V30 (Latest Version) it opens up a sub tree, of a ton of files, what files do i need out of there? I'll be using a M3 Perfect, with a 2 GB miniSD, on a normal Blue DS not a light. With
e -- English
b -- Chinese Big5
c -- Chinese GB
j -- Japanese
k -- Korean
f -- French
g -- German
i -- Italian
n -- Dutch
p -- Portugese
s -- Spanish
t -- Thai
so download all of the ones with the e?

I got the latest V30A Game Manager fro dualscene. It doesn't have the force R/W option anymore. And whenever I put a lot of ROMs into my SD (>500MB). The M3 will read corrupted filenames and the everything get corrupted reading from my laptop. I have to format it. Do I use FAT or FAT32 format?
Thanks!
