The gamemanager still has the Force R/W option, but it only appears after games of a certain release number, the first time it was an option to games over 500ish, now it's for games over 600ish (can't remember the exact numbers)
Don't know about the corruption issue, might have something to do with your SD card.
You can use either FAT16 or FAT32 - I generally use FAT32 as I find it an easier filesystem to work with, especially for organising files.

Mr Hanky, what miniSD card would you recommend i get? i just ordered the M3 Perfect for a normal blue DS, I'd like to get a 2 GB card, but it seems they all have problems on the mdia guide, the kingston 2GB isnt tested either. Would you recommend i get a 1 GB are they faster for some reason?
This is the card i'd like to get
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820134126
But it isnt tested on the media guide

I dunno, I've bought cards before that havn't been on the list and they work perfectly, but obvoiusly it's abit of a gamble.
If you want to be sure it works get this instead:
http://www.supermediastore.com/pqi-2gb-mini-sd-card.html
It's slightly cheaper and it's on the list with a 5/5 on the Castlevania test.

This is the 2nd M3 Adapter I got. I have both regular Kingston 2GB and Sandisk 1GD SD. Do I need to get the faster speed SD to solve the problem. Everytime I copy a lot of ROMs with the option "same to all rom", the M3 can't read it, but the PC can. I have updated the latest firmware and using the latest game manager.

Yea ive been trying to find that PQI 2GB one, i finally ordered it from here
http://meritline.stores.yahoo.net/pqi-minisd-card-2gb.html
The link you gave me is for an SD card, not a mini, Egghead doesnt carry it for some reason.
Thanks again for all your help, Hopefully everything will go smoothly using your guide once the parts get here.

So nobody can help me here? :-(
Have tried 2 M3 Adapter, 2 SD (2GB Kingston, 1GB Sandisk).
When I copied more than 5-6 ROMs to it, games can't not be loaded and freezed. Turn off, PC can still read the files, but Game Manager can't access the file anymore. If I click the games, I got the message "An unknown error has occurred while accessing a unnamed file". I also find out the property of the SD will become full even I didn't use all of the space. I have to format it again in order to use the SD again. Have updated the v30 firmware and game manager. What can go wrong? Got a bad M3 adapter 2 in a row from realhotstuff? Need a faster speed SD? I sent a email to M3 adapter website, it seems that they don't answer your question. Pls help!
Stuck with putting 2-3 ROMs each time now. :-(

What about your crad reader, could that be the problem? I honestly don;t know what could be causing this, but seriously, is it realy tha much effort to put the game on in groups of 2-3 instead of all at once?
I've gradually added games to my M3 the whole time i've had it, maybe deleteing a game or two every now and then so I've never transfered over more than 3 games a time. I've done 30+ GBA games at once before and didn't get this problem though.

The problem is that too once I put 2-3 games to the SD and played. I can't put any more games in. I have to format the SD in order to use it again. I think the M3 is screw up the SD by writing the .sav files into the GAMESAVE folder in the SD. My friend got a supercard and he has no problem of this. There's no support from M3 and realhotstuff.com regarding to this issue. I think I gues supercard is a better product and thinking to get 1 instead of M3 suck adapter.

I just got my M3 perfect, passkard 3, and PQI 2GB miniSD card. and i'm having a lot of problems :( I'm able to get some games to work, but can't get any GBA games to work :( or castlevania PoR, new super mario brothers,Metroid prime hunters, and a bunch of other games. I'm using this guide
http://m3wiki.com/index.php?title=M3_NDS_roms/0401-0450
But its not helping.
Another major thing is how am i supposed to exit the game i am playing and get back to the menu, without getting the error on startup saying "backing up so and so game save file","DONOt Shut down before finish" what does it want me to do?, and its corrupting the games and making them unplayable after 2 go's.
So whats the best way to run GBA games? and how am i supposed to turn off the DS while in a game?

Did this message answer my question and the answer cannot be shown here so it was edited out? I've checked that site but sure cant find Castlevania POR or anything close. And cant find any NES or SNES roms. I also was wondering the same thing as posted above too.

nevermind that. A kind soul pointed me towards this site bt.emuparadise.org which I found Castlevania POR but like the other user said it does not work but the other games do work. weird. also would still like to know how to properly end the games. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
P.S. Metroid Prime Hunters works for me. But I dont care about it when Castlevania POR is here and I cant play it! :(
.
Edit: just noticed this about Castlevania POR. Does not look good :(

Your going to have to wait for a the M3 team to update the software to fix Castlevania, it is a reasonably new game so give them a chance. They have been very good at upadting int he past (I recall them updating the same day as a release once!)
The settings for Castlevania are "Trim Rom, 4xDMA, Software Reset, Force R/W"
Note the Force R/W, this puts extra processing load on the DS and can make things unstable, which is what could be causing the crashes, this is why the Gamemanager software does not let you use this with games before a ceratin release number, the M3 will get round to fixing the game soon, so your just gonna have to wait :-(
On a seperate note, Castlevania POR works perfectly on my M3CF with 1GB Sandisk Ultra II card :P

Everything was running perfect even castlevania, but when i inserted the card to my PC to add some more games none of the nds files would show up. i rebooted my pc and still wouldnt show up, so i reformatted the card in FAT and reinstalled some games, and now it just hangs on the "Load NDS Game for M3" screen.
"Game Loading... "
only about 2 games work now, everything else just hangs, Everytime i touch this thing its a different problem :( i'm going to see about sending it back, its been a real nightmare. It could jsut be my PQI 2GB miniSD card, or my card reader or anything really. I've jsut had enough

I use a "micro" sd card. not a mini sd card. weird how we both just got it? but yours takes a different type/size card? I would try a different brand. people talk crap about sandisk but thats what I have is a 2GB sandisk and no real problems other than castlevania.
check this out: http://www.epforums.org/showthread.php?p=1130562
.
Edit: forget the "other than Castlevania" line cause now that I patched it correctly it works! checkout my post linked above at epforums.

akio123, what SD card are you using? What firmware update you trying to use? does the M3 work without the Passcard (in GBA mode)?

Does the M3 say anything if you turn it one without the SD card insereted? If it dosn't then you probably have a faulty one and should get it replaced.
