yeah, cheers. I already rebooted it after changing the codes, but some channels are still choppy. I'm too wrecked after 2 days of messing around with it to go and mess it all up again.

Check the boot options in the dbox button menue.
Hardware section should be switched off, Avia watchdog and enx watchdog to on.
If you change settings reboot the box.

Cheers, i checked that. hardware was off, avia watchdog was on, but enx watchdog was off. i turned it on and rebooted, some channels are still choppy, some are perfect. I'm happy enough with that for now. Thanks a million for all your help guys. I might pick your brains later about those choppy/freezing channels. Now, im going to sit down with a drink and watch some free TV!

I but blade on my mates sagem 1x last night. Started chirping after a few mins. I then put on JTG (meant to be suited to chirping sagems), this appears to only have ucode 0014, and I cannot see any place in it to change ucodes or EMU's, however it was working with no chirps. But I was only watching for 15mins tops.

I noticed this was the setup on JTG, I thought avia was a Nokia setting so usually have it off. I will change it on my others.
On digitalworldz you said
Quote: If its a sagem enable the enx check in cwshare.cfg and restart the emu.
N: { 00 01 03 00 3500 6000 }
I did this but it is still freezing but self recovering, but it still freezes on a FTA channel too.
In the file it says
Quote: # 3500 send ecm again after 3,5 Seconds if no reply
# 6000 resync decode after 6 Seconds if net decode failed
Could I change 3500 to 1200 to check every 1,2seconds? would this decrease the freezing time?
Are there other settings/files I could adjust? I see other files with other encryption types mentioned, does the box waste time looking for these while it should be only looking for nagra? i.e. would deleting other generic settings help make it a faster nagra specific box?

The 2 numbers are for card sharing.
If the enx chip crash and need a reset you simple get a short freeze.
You could try ucode version 001A at the JtG image.
The ucode.bin is the firmware for the enx chip and is loaded into that chip at bootup.

Back again!
heres my story so far:
got a sagem 2x a couple of days ago from a german seller. Before that i had never seen a dbox and had only read a few guides online. It had a german Sportster image that was only picking up one or two channels. With a lot of excellent help and guidance i flashed the blade image using IFA yesterday and after a few different scans I finally got all(or nearly all) channels. only problem is some channels freeze or stutter. Most channels are perfect. I have tried all possible combinations of cams and ucodes but the affected channels have not noticeably improved. I am currently running gbox and ucode0014. If anyone has any ideas on how i can get these channels to settle down, I would really appreciate your help. Cheers!
Edit. I am now getting an error message when changing channels "keine karte eingesteckt!"?????????

Check the numbers for BER SNR SIG for good and bad channels and compare it.
Red button -> blue button.
Check also the frequencies for some bad channels. Maybe your cables.xml is botched or you tried the wrong option.

Wrong frequencies.
386500 and so on should be right for NTL cable Dublin.
Go to the scan menue, select leave current bouquets in the bouquets line, selecet NTL cable Dublin in the provider line, disable fast scan/manual scan, start the scan.

The option W+G is untested because the blokes from Galway are not willing to give any feedback.
Try NTL cable Dublin.
By the way do you get true cable or NTL mmds?

Which default frequency do you get from your pace box?
Upload the irish cables.xml to /var/tuxbox/config, delete the file scan.conf in the same folder, pull the plug.
Try NTL Dublin bf.

From a other forum (only for pace boxes):
on your subscription box unplug from wall socket then on the box press and hold all the time the up and down arrow buttons on the box
then plug in the power still holding down on these buttons you will get a engineers menu then let go of the down and up buttons
in there you will find your netid and frequency and symbol rate
press the right arrow on subscription box to flick through the pages where you will find this information
if you are ready unplug and replug the subscription box without pressing the buttons

A network scan via NTL cable Dublin or NTL cable W+G should be functional.
Are you sure fast scan/manual scan is disabled.

Either network scan is botched in your image or the network information table is missing in Galway.
Try NTL Dublin bf.
