Yeah I am now out of the mess too thanks this forum. I wasnt being Lazy it was more like dazed and confused since I have never been confronted with this issue. I post my urgent mail while i was looking through the forums to multi task and eventualy i found the info I needed and I am all up and running. So many many thanks to those that replied in my hour of need. I now have the knowledge to help others in this area. I would like to ask some advice though, I am living in france and set it up so my mum could watch english tv when she comes to visit from the UK. I have a nokia dbox2 sat bow and use the neutrino image, can anyone recomend an image that is the best for viewing uk channels on astra 19.2. Thanks again and i am sure my mum will be grateful to hahahaha

Hi, Just want to say thanks for the advice on fixing my D box, I restarted my CAM as advised and it worked a treat, nice one!!!

Likewise from me, thanks for all your help this week Paul the box is fine now all channels have loaded - my mate is well pleased so I guess that's thanks from him too!

Yeah thks Paul its good to have people like you out there to help solve problems. I need help not from you Paul as I know you dont do sat dbox2 but if anyone else can I would be a happy man. I have all the bskyb channels but obviously I can only recieve the free view that I know. The sat is facing 28.2 and I want to know is there any way I can get channel 4 and ITV4 or are they paid channels. I say this because i get all the bbc and most of the ITV channels apart form the 2 mentioned. Thanks for your Time

Channel 4, FIVE, FIVE Life, FIVE US, Sky3 need a FreeToView card or a card from a canceled subscription.
ITV4 is FreeToAir.

on the sky digital platform any channel you can get without a card is FTA (Free To Air, no encryption) some channels are soft encrypted, you need a viewing card for these channels but there is no subscription for them, these are the FTV channels (Free To View). The channels you will recieve with a FTV card are:
Channel 4 (EPG 104, 117 wales)
Five (EPG 105)
Sky Three (EPG 108)
Five Life (EPG 180)
Five Life +1 (EPG 181)
Five US (EPG 182)
Five US +1 (EPG 183)
channels that are available on freeview such as E4, E4+1, More4, The Hits, Sky Sports News and a few others are subscription channels on Sky and the only way to recieve them on this platform is with an active subscription to a channel packege containing the required channels

i have a nokia dbox 2 with commando 6 which worked and how doesn't work any more any channel scan does not work and the provider is now german not uk. can any one help pls

what were your scaning options what cable providers did you have?you could try reflashing the image there is up to commando 9 now

bruteforce. scan for all service but it now shows kabel deutscheland and no brute force. how do i reflash or put new image.

you could ftp the new image on dont forget if your staying with commando you need to put on the keys, or you could get an image like blade trinity that has them included

you need to click on the "ftp" thats in blue on your own post then this directs you to another page then download a program i use filezilla then you need to set up a network between your computer and dbox and transfer the file onto the box it goes into the temp directory as far as i know but im not 100%,bigdunc should be able to confirm which it is , then when the file is on the box you do a manual update

just press on remote dbox/service/servicescan/ move dwn to cable provider just keep pressing ok on remote ..it will be there if image supports it ..on blade its all uk scanning or u pick ur area u want

i keep pressing it but it's only showing kabel deutscheland. i use to get bruteforce but after a channel scan, it doesn't work anymore and no channel is showing. pls help.

lyricdogg have u tryed setting ur location and picking ur town first ..with the blue button 2 c if that helps. when u pick ur town it will reboot good luck
