Hi guys, I am having problems with downloading torrents. I know this is a very common problem and there are many forumns on it already but something is definatly wrong with mine. Firstly, my torrents almost never connect to any peers, and when they do they always stay yellow even with my virus protection and firewall off. The torrents never reach over 10 kB/s and when they do it only lasts for an hour then it just goes to 0 and says it's going to take over 1000 hours to complete. I am using ports 6881-60000 and have UPnP Port Forwarding on type 1 (fast). All of these ports are exceptions in windows firewall and my router. My downloads were capped at 80% but that seemed to slow it down so they are currently set to automatic. I've recently downloaded TCP Optimizer which apparently speeds up torrents and I also changed lots of Bittornado settings, and i am probably not at the skill level to do so. I'm not sure what the proper settings are anymore. I am thinking of switching to Utorrent but I dont know if it will help. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I'm trying to seed here but I can't even complete my downloads. Thanks in advance!

You don't need that many port's, use a range over 10,000, You can forward as many as you want but remember every download is sharing bandwidth. Say, 16004 - 16010 but it's up to you. Disable UPnP and reset your upload to 80% and are you sure your router is forwarded properly, check it here: http://www.portforward.com/english/route...routerindex.htm Find and click on it, find BitTornado, click on it and follow the instructions. With a router, you will probably need a static ip address: http://www.portforward.com/networking/staticip.htm I have used both and both are good but utorrent is much more configurable plus it only opens one window and uses one port if that matters. Edit: and check here for your ISP: http://www.azureuswiki.com/index.php/Bad_ISPs
