Anybody ever heard of these HDD: Fantom GreenDrive 1TB USB 2.0 and eSATA External Hard Drive - 2 Year Warranty! - GD1000EU

Here's a better deal yet!
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822204069
$139 after $20 MIR! Pretty much the same thing. I know their twin drives use Hitachi drives because they say so on their website, but i haven't found out what these are yet. 2 years is pretty good for an external drive. The WD my friend Gina was looking at was only a one year warranty!

Happy Computering,
Russ

Forget that it's slower than XP-Pro SP3, and I would have to replace about 30 or 40 programs that I need, that don't run on Vista! Installing a new hard drive wasn't a pleasant experience either what with all the security BS!

I'm glad that you have had no problems, but it would become very expensive for me to switch!

theonejrs: or anybody....Are the good drives though.
Right now I'm hung up on Seagate(5yr), & Samsung(3yr) 4 there warranties
Both have served me well so far, I've got 4 internal Seagate,1 external & 2 Samsung all 500gig
Haven't found an external that lists Cache 16 or 32mb. So I'm assuming they are all 16mb

theonejrs:500Gig Seagate 5yr warranty external $104.50inclds shipping:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148235
You might want to pass this on to your friend Gina
They have small drives, smaller prices, if 500 is to much

abuzar: School started for you already? Too early... one more week here.
I can't help you much, but are you in calculus A? Just look in the beginning of the chapter/lesson for the E in your book if you have one. Or look it up, it can't be too hard to find.

never heard of the greendrive enclosures, but I generally tend to avoid prebuilt enclosures as the homemade variety are better.

boozer it's been 20 years but does that little sign mean range?? If so then they want the graph with the limits of (x) from -5 to 5....

sorry but I don't have a higher level math book in front of me.. lol. Got rid of them years ago... hehehee. :P

Yeah I think it does. I've seen it before too but couldn't remember - now you mention it Gm, I'm pretty sure it is range.

hi agian just got to ask you people a few more question and its about sli and gaming. here i go.

1. dose sli work with every game?
2. how much dose it increase you system proformce by?
3. will my psu be able to handle it?(psu on page 71)
4. is cooling a big issue because my XFX 860GTS is idle @60C?
5. what is the advantage of it?

thanks

I will answer this for SLI and Crossfire, as SLi requires an appalling motherboard (so I no longer ever recommend it, purely on that basis)
1. No, not for either tech. It does however work with most games, typically all the ones that need it.
2. Varies, depending on whether you're CPU limited or not. In most titles SLI gains 50-80%, Crossfire typically gains 50-110%.
3. You didn't post on page 71, so I'm not sure. Which PSU you need for dual graphics depends on which cards you're using. Crossfire HD4850/4870 and SLI 9600/8800 series will be fine on something like a Corsair 520W HX or 650W TX. Crossfiring the HD4870X2 or SLIing the GTX280 I'd recommend a Zalman 850W.
4. Depends on your case, you want one that's well ventilated for sure.
5. More performance in games at higher resolutions! (For CF anyway, SLI only brings tears)

1. no
2. it depends on the game and what kind of SLi your mobo will truly run
3. yes, no issues. btw it's page 70. ;)
4. cooling shouldn't be an issue, make sure you have plenty of air flow, more importantly in the correct direction that makes it useful
5. with 2 8600GTS cards I don't see much of an advantage. you'd be better served to buy a single 8800GT or HD4850

edit: dang ole Sammy beat me to it.. lol. :P

Yeah, good point actually, that didn't even cross my mind, two 8600GTSs is pointless because one HD4850 will mince the pair.

That would depend on which GTS you are talking about. An R92 would be a much better choice for a GTS, rather than the older R90 one. It also costs about $70-$100 more! Much faster than the GT!
