I've already given extensive amounts of profession lterary journals and analysis on both systems. The PS3 carries the better hardware for a price, difficulty to program on. Go back to another page where you'll see a huge block of links. stfu is you don't have proof

Anecdotal, by my definition, it's the way too many people here think. It's also all the evidence you have.
Xbox 360 GT: NEGATIVE 273K
My advice: Wait for PS3.

Both systems are the same!!! once you have so much power you cant tell teh difference but check this out!
XBOX 360 uses ATI R500, NIN REV uses ATI RN520 a dual core graphic processor with 6MB more frame buffer then the XBOX, and eveywere else says the NREV's graphics will run at 600MHz!

Really? Why don't you provide some links to an actual article? It's total BS as of now, your lying or plagarizing rumors. Don't post crap again without a link, to an official site. Preferably professional journals like mine.

It might have better graphics, we dotn know, but we wont really see it. We're going to see the xbox360 with bettre graphics because it will look better on HD-TV and Xbox30 and PS3 will support HDTV unlike the Rev.

When it comes to a products success there are many other factors to consider aside from simply technological specifications. Someone early in this thread spoke on the topic of brand loyalty and in this regard there is no denying that PS3 will have a more loyal fanbase than xbox 360. In the end, the determining factor for these systems is going to be third party software development. If you think that console companies make much profits on the sales of their machines you are sadly mistaken. The lineup of the next generation software is going to be paramount to determining the success of the platforms. In the end it may or may not be the most "powerful" console that succeeds but rather the one with simply the better games.
Gee. . . I wish I had something witty to say.

In Japan the PS3 will do better no matter what microsoft will try to do. http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/09/12/news_6132997.html In america it is going to be a tough race between the PS3 and the xbox360 I am sorry to say I don't think nintendo will make it america. It does not have the third party support the 360 and PS3 have. And also solaray you keep saying how powerful the revoltuion is going to be but nintendo has not confirmed anything. We can speculate and speculate and it won't do any good until nintendo has an offial announcement

Let me correct your ass!
On HD-TV the PS3 and 360 will ONLY and yes ONLY look sharper!
But the downside is that they will loose a big chunk of graphical power for games designed for HD-TV!
Lets put it like this, If all 360 and PS3 games were designed only for HD-TV, the nintendo REV would have graphics almost twice as powerful as the others!
HD-TV is not a priority for nintendo its the smartest thing they did avoiding it! Because the higher your resolution the more you will see the edges of the polygons and low detail textures! and also the higher the resolution ,, (and with anti-analizing),,,,,,will result in a lower polygon count!!!!!

Solaray, contrary to the other posts, I will ask you nicely. Provide some sort of credible proof or explanation of this and we will listen more. This goes for the rest of you as well, I'm not saying your lying, I'm just saying...You could be pulling these facts out of a hat for all we know.

Theres ya proof!!!!
And if you dont believe me about the resolution i dont need to prove it, all you have to do is load up a game on your pc ,,, play it in 1024x768 and then play it in 640x480 and see the difference in performance.
hopefully for the sake of 360 and PS3 developers, they wont make hardly any games that use Hi-def resolutions.
Its a very bad idea for people who dont want to put anti-analizing in their consoles "SONY" coz we will all see the jiggery lines!

solaray you are wrong. What you are saying is basically that playing on a tnt2 card with a 640x480 will be better than a x800pro on 1600x1200.

What you just said was silly! no a TnT card is not even a hundredth of the poowe of an X800!
im saying that all 3 consols will have very similar power. The consoles will only differ in power by a fraction.
(THE PS3 and 360 will be able to do low res games ofcourse)
Assuming that all 3 consoles have the same power!
If 2 of them run in 1024x768 only thats 478232 Pixles more then the one which runs at 640x480! Thats more then twice the pixles, meaning more then twice the colours, meaning the machine has to display more then twice the geometry. your looking at about 30% of graphics (textures+polygons) lost over high definition!
And it uses more memory
Why do you think ATI and 3D-LABS boast about giving you 128MB extra memory for high resolutions????
I know what im talking about, I spend most of my time using MAYA! the 3d package used to make Shrek!

I think the Rev will have great graphics, but I realyl doubt it will have better graphics than the PS3 or maybe the 360, it is possible for it to have better graphics than the 360.

it all comes down to price for me. im sure they will be great systems, but whatever is v=cheaper i will buy, as the more expensive system will eventually drop in price and i will get that one when it does. in australia, the ps2 was $700 when it first came out, now its about 250
Same thing will happen with the new consoles, hype will drive the price up and eventually it will fall. in the meantime ill keep playing battlefield 2. Hooah!

Wow, this solaray kid, you do not know what your talking about, face it. You say that the "power" of each console is within a fraction of each other? No official specs have been released on the rev, except your BS rumors off the internet tabloid site The Register. That's a complete lie, and I would bet house and home that's BS. 5 CPU's? First off they would do that, they'd use more cores on a single die like the 360 is doing. That tells you right there is crap. There are no official specs on the rev yet, so stfu about it kid.
As far as the "power" for the PS3 and 360 are concerned, I'll interpret "power" as total system floating point performance. The links below compare them both in single precision and dual precision modes:
http://arstechnica.com/articles/paedia/cpu/xbox360-2.ars Ther is another one for the GPU, you can find in a previous post with a whole lot else.
http://arstechnica.com/articles/paedia/cpu/cell-1.ars There's the cell. For the GPUs, and system performance, I have them listed elsewhere in this thread.
These two links are just to try and get you to read, rather than blab about BS lies and crap you don't know anything about.
Seriously, face it, your an idiot. Why don't you read the pretty little articles written by some of the only people who actually can get that inside information, officially, at the closed door presentations of the harware.
"Power", PS3 hands down. Same for pretty much everything else too, except for ease of programming.

No one said anything about 5CPU's!
The REV will have 4CPU's,,,yea yea yea its just one big CPU that works like a quad! But its true, and its all info from other companies that work for nintendo, they have a limit on what info they can give to the public!!!
The main processor will be a lil bit slower then the 360 and PS3 but the graphics engine seems better then the 360! and its a shock to me but hey its true! i will say it again so you remember
x360 = R500 with 10MB framebuffer
REV= RN520 with 16MB framebuffer
look man nintendo has a history of spending money! and their very particular with who they work with such as ARTX, Alias, Sillicon Graphic Ex members and NEC.
Im glad you take it all as BS. But hey it is what it is!

Seriously, your only links are to either tabloid grade webpages, or rumors. Seriously, you don't have any solid specs from Nintendo, post it then. You want to through unprofessional gaming sites around? Let's do it. Here you go, IGN, Sept. 2005. http://cube.ign.com/articles/522/522559p1.html
"Small, quiet, and affordable." Hmmmm, I doubt it's going to be more powerful, still no proof on either side though.
http://cube.ign.com/articles/618/618832p1.html The first link will send you here for details of all the known specifications.
"# Custom-built IBM CPU, codenamed Broadway; speed and architecture undetermined at this time
# Custom-built ATI-GPU, codenamed Hollywood; speed and architecture undetermined at this time"
Now why don't you send some recent, up-to-date, evidence stronger to contradict this. The Register is the biggest internet tabloid there is, just so you know.

ign are the main informers about games!
They can only put on stuff confirmed by nintendo, because its safer for them to do so! So they dont look stupid!
All the information i gave was from IBM and ATI. They can say certain things about their play in the NIN REV. They dont need to announce that stuff to make it confirmed.
ATI + ARTx {who helped make the NGC} is making the graphics chip with specific Ex employees from MIPS/silicon graphics who worked on the N64. THAT IS TRUE!!! The "N" in the RN520 is like a way of saying " Nintendo customized"
LOOOOOONG TIME AGO they said the nintendo REV graphics is likely to run between 500 and 600MHz!
Now the people who make the memory for the NIN REV said that they would make it cheap for the game industry aiming at 20-30GB/s and that these speeds wont be available to PC's for a longer period of time (AS
STICK MEMORY). I read a whole thing on the 1T-SRAM memory and it was impressive,,, but i dont have the link,,search for it yourself!
I think eveyones shocked at the size of the REV. some one said "how can something that small be any good?"
DAM Their working with NEC,,,, trust me you will see the new version of the PS3 in about 3 years and it will be tiny! The N64 was more powerful then the PS, but it had like a quater of the components in it.

Well all i can do is ltet you wait and see about the specs!!! Theres too many sites with that info!
But dont expect the REV to be weak. And no ones mentioned those old specs for months (dual 1.5GHz 256MB), remember its being released AFTER the XBOX 360 so it should be almost as powerful or more!
I like the idea of the controller for each hand, thats crazy,
I think its probably only going to have tilt sensors , "tilt left right, fowards, backwards" so its like having 2 big invisable 3d sticks! Even if it aint real i hope its something like that! Its never been done before. The only problem is that Sony and Microsoft can copy that idea within about 4 months!

solaray you cant say that if the video card handles more pixels then it is "lost" power! that is what video is all about! BETTER GRAPHICS! so having more pixels and antialising is a GOOD thing. And video power of xbox2 and ps3 will be WAY superior. These consoles will use video cards with 48 pipelines and nintendo is coming with an atix800 of 12 pipelines! dont you realize what youre saying?

No i wouldnt say it is loss of power, but loss of eye candy,
TV has a resolution of something like 750x550 TV has more colours then 24-bit colour,, our game systems do like 16.7 mil colours, TV shows about 35Milion or something like that, thats why it looks sharper, the more colours the sharper your image!! ignoring this colur thing coz all 3 consols will ONLY run in 24 bit!!!
Anyway what would you prefer,,,,, a game running at 640x480 with a half a million polygons on screen or a game running at 1024x768 with about 300,000 polygons onscreen!
I rather have a low resolution so they can squeeze more into the grapics!
And having a high res will only hilight all the things we dont want to see like polygon edges, low res textures and ect!
Heres the new nintendo controller http://www.gamesarefun.com/news.php?newsid=5546
