Simply use the irish10 cables.xml and choose NTL mmds for the scan.

Hey guys, can you have a look at the link below, to see the fault with the sagem tuner, two components burnt out, not sure why or how this happened, do you have any idea what these components are(their values,) or am i better off just replacing the tuner, or scrapping the box, and get another one

Hope someone can help??
Thanks.

Guys,
anyone help me out here,i orignally had the Blade trinity V2 1x on my Sagem dbox2, was working fine then stalled, i ended up wiping the box by mistake, now i need to flash trhe box which i am trying to do, have the IFA s/w on my laptop but when i start to flash the box all that comes up in the LCD is IFA Hallenberg, then same appears on my TV saying IFA is flashing ur box, then on LCD display "backup" apppears and reaches around 3 bars then stalls, i've powered off the box and restarted this, i know it might take around 10 attempts or more depending, but i have tried around 15 times now and still same, am using a cross-over cable as i do not have a null modem handy, all settings seem fine in dbox manager....any suggestions would be appreciated.

Cheers

bubble hits came in a while back. liverpool came on in place of rangers. I think UKTVG2 is changing to be called "dave"! but will still be the same programs, while FTN is gone and replaced by the much better virgin 1.
TVX appears to be gone again- so the nun next door tells me ;)

This forum is fairly up to date about new channels etc, but zero tolerance to dbox discussion so dont even try.

IFA takes a good 15mins on a 1X, you can always try a different version of IFA, I have used the one you mention and do not like it. You may as well put on the very latest blade too, lots of bug fixes in it, get it at www.digitalworldz.co.uk

nokia or sagem? what image?

A sagem really should have blade on it, running gbox, 001A works best. on nokias I find evocam, nagra 7 only enabled, and ucode 001A works best. I run the latest blade on my nokias & sagems now.

Hey, I'm new to this but have the Box set up in Limerick, the scan only picks up 86 channels and after a couple of minutes it looses the signal.

Does anyone know why it does this or how to fix it??

Signal too strong or too weak.
Check firat if you got an combiner from your cc.
If you read TAP at a output of a splitting device replace it with a real splitter.

Try IFA version 1.5.6. That version makes no backup.

Hi All,

Having trouble decoding channels.
Received my new Nokia Dbox2 with the commando 7.5 image yesterday.
I have the basic N*L analogue pack but digital is available in the area.
Scanned for channels and found 180+.
However all encrypted channels are blank.
Waited for key to update and switched cams, rebooted, but to no avail.
Tried evocamd, mgcamd and newcamd.

I was wondering if upgrading to commando 8.2 or blade trinity final would do the trick?

Thanks for any help.

asked someone who's got both and they recommend the starview 'Box' over the DBox2 for better pictures etc but all i see here on the general forums are threads and threads with people asking for new codes for their starviews.

what do you guys recommend and why?

Just in case anyone else has this issue I fixed it by
flashing the Blade trinity final image onto the box.
did a scan with the dublin settings and now have 180 channels. \o/

I dont have experience of anything other than a Dbox2 which is working flawlessly for me.

If you buy off eb*y its worth flashing on an updated image (I used Blade Trinity) in order to get the most up to date keys. Then scan with the dublin settings which can be found on page 90 of this forum.

Then upload the bouquet and services xml onto the box.
