Thanks Yet again for your help MGB.
This time however the channels just came back themselves.
I had just switched on the TV to do as you said and there they were.
(Still missing about 5 channels I never watch so I'm happy - SNR on these still at 70%)
U*C sent a letter in the post lately saying there would be some service disruption as they were "Upgrading" the service.
Maybe this was part of it.

Thanks glic83 but where do i get the keys from (which folder) and where do i send em to activated the channels. Also where can i get blade image as i cant find it anywhere and i dont have access to digitalworldz. I hope this works but im afraid that ch*us did something. The dbox was fine for the last 11 months with the sportster 1.75 setup and the keys updated when forced. Thanks for your help

Thanks kilters, i got the blade image, but now another prob, when trying to ftp the box, i can see the files when typing ftp:\\192.168.0.24 after it prompts for user (root) & password (dbox) in IE. After i select open FTP site in windows explorer, no folders appear even after the correct username & pw. I never had this prob with the sporster img. What am i doin wrong? Seems one problem has made another one. If/when i have the Blade image up and runnin with the services files etc loaded, will the keys automatically decrypt the channels? or will it update to newer keys? Im afraid that the same will happen as the sporster1.75-it couldnt find any new keys when forcing public update, after plugging in/out/rebooting, changing cams etc everything i could think of. try using filezilla has always worked for me,double check you have the network set up right between computer and dbox,try dbox2 as the password and the keys should autoroll so there shouldnt be a problem there

Thanks glic filezilla works great. This morning i turned on my own box in the living room and all the channels are back on. I didnt touch that box yet and sportster 1.75 is still on it, when showing public keys they show todays date. Seems that the keys were available today and not yesterday. Anyway ill leave sportster on it. Thanks for all your help :)

I found commando 6 works quite well
There was a batch of dboxes made where they put in 2 x resistors that were not suposed to be put in. When removed the chirping stops. havent seen this myself but a mate of mine had the same prob and it worked for him.
Will try and get info off him when I see him

the 2 resistors your on about are you sure that you mate hasnt got a dreambox and not a dbox,there was a problem recently with the 500 clone and when 2 resistors were removed that stopped the chirping,so id say its a dreambox that your mate has

You are right. The resistor story is about clone dream boxes not dboxes.

Did anybody notice that you no longer need to subscribe to cable TV to get Broadband from NTL?
My question is if I only have broadband will my DBOX still work?

It depends if UPC mount a filter to your cable tap or not.

Really need some help here. I have now flashed my new dbox with 3 differnt images but everytime i do a scan no channels are found. I have set the location and did both a full and quick scan and stil no channel are shown. Has anybody a clue what im doin wrong or how 2 fix it?????

Try putting in the freq manually, there is loads of freq on this post. Some freq work for some and not for others .If that dont work you are still on analogue and your wasting your time trying to get it to work. what part of the country are you in??

Continued on frm last post.
This is my 2nd dbox that im flashing but with no luck when it comes to getting channels. On the dbox that is working the settings are -
scan for service - all services
bouquet - leave current
provider - bruieforce for uk
fast scarn - off
Network ID - 41042
frequency - 666750
symbol rate - 6952
I have tried changing the settings on the new dbox to the above and again scanin but still no channels appear.
It cant be the feed thats goin in2 the dbox as it works fine in the other dbox.
Does anybody have a clue here cause im starting to think that the box connection could be faulty and thats y its not picking up channels.

I cant seem to land inside the Config folder when FTPing Var and Tuxbox are no problem Just seems to time out every time I try to get into the Config folder First time Ive had this problem
Any ideas???
