360 waves patcher "wave converter for all firmwares"

Thanks to the people for the great brain behind it and also to the people for making it public.thanks a lot that program was awesome. But now i have another problem. I have patched Assassins creed 2 to Wave 2 and when i put the disc in Xbox its asking for update now. When i click update now its updating and again asking for the same. Its repeating continuously. when i remove the hard drive its working fine. when i say the game is working fine am unable to play, but the game title was displayed and was asking for memory to create a profile What could be the problem. Just now searched and came to know the Dashboard version should be 2.0.8955.0. So by just downloading from the Xbox site and loading it into USB and then updating. will it work fine. I tried to connect my 360 but it was throwing an Network error. My Xbox is from US and i am using it in India. Would that be a problem i dont think so.Any other things do i need to check out. Help me out i am stuck after burning the game because of the update.

Install the dash update.

You must use your original for it to update, when using wavepatcher it removes some of the data that's required for update, so put in the original let the system load the update once done then you can play your backup otherwsie it won't work

Thx Sicdude and RXV2300 i will try it and let you know. Right my xbox is with my cousin and he is playing Resident Evil 5. i will update the patch 2 morrow morning and let you the results. Thanks a lot for the Reply man.
And one more query. I bought my xbox from US and i live in India. Got an NFS Shit PAL game and converted it Wave 2 and then when i tried to play it gave me Region Code error. Now i have aging bought a NTSC vesrion game backup DVD. Just i am in dilemma to convert the iso to Wave 2 and write it again. As i would be wasting that DVD. Any Suggestions here.

RXV2300 when you say you must use your original Do i need to update from internet by download. Or copying the $SystemUpdate folder from the Backup drive which purchased. Could you please clarify me

I bought Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and made a backup image. I usually make backups to preserve my originals. Now when I try to burn this backup using imgburn, I get
Invalid Address For Write
After much googling, I found out that my burner cannot support burning Wave 4 games, i can't get a new firmware update because my burner is not supported anymore. I have made backups of my Bioshock and Assassin's creed (Wave 2 games) and they burn well and work well on my 360 elite. My question is, if I downgrade my Modern Warfare 2 backup image to Wave 3 or Wave 2 with thtis software, will it get corrupted? Will it work on my modded 360? I have the latest Xbox 360 update where games can be installed on the hard drive.

hi dukelord when you say your burner is corrupted its unable to burn only wave 4 games. and you are able to Burn Wave 2 games and play i hope i understood you correctly.
If so you can Convert form Wave 4 to Wave 2 no problem at all.
And surely you can play without any issues.
Anything more reagrding the Patching and burning let us know dude.
As i have learnt everthing form these forums

My burner needs a firmware update to enable it burn Wave 4 isos. Problem is, my burner is no longer supported by manufacturer. Just need to know if it's advisable to downgrade MW2 to Wave 2 and burn and whether it will work. I just got my 360 elite plus an extra pad and 10 games a week ago, so I'm a bit broke now, can't afford to buy and waste blank dual-layer DVDs

sorry to butt back in but wave patcher states that bio shock is a wave 4 and it didnt work with out wave patcher just white xbox 360 screen, is there any way of patching org xbox games that dont work on 360 ??

Bioshock was released along time before wave 4 showed up, http://abgx360.net/verified.php?f=name&q=bioshock
The only thing i can think of is you have a bad rip from somewhere.

Just kidding lol, it's only advisable to patch iso's to a lower wave if you don't intend to use live.
As for your burner, i've never heard of that problem before, if you are able to burn wave 2 and 3 games you should be able to burn wave 4.

I have no intention of using Xbox Live. I burned a backup of my Bioshock and Assassin's Creed and they worked well on my 360. I tried the MW2 twice and always get error when it wants to write to the second layer of the dual-layer DVD. So after some googling, it seems my burner is an old version which needs a firmware update to burn Wave 4 isos. Like I said earlier, my burner is no longer supported by manufacturer. Model= Optiarc DVD RW AD-7581S ATA Device.

Try converting it to wave 2 then.
It should work ;)

When I patch does it affect the original iso? Or does it make another copy of the iso which it adds the patch to?

It patches the original iso, just copy and paste the iso to another location on your pc if you want an untouched iso ;)

hi there,
i'm new to these this site and quite new to modded xbox360's..
i was getting along fine but noticed that i couldnt play newest games then stumbled across this site.. i've done all the steps but for some reason it still says its a dvd when in my xbox and says cant play the media!
i've updated the firmware by flash drive.
i converted to wav3 as i have burned and played other wav3 games before.
i use img burn, when i use it i always remove the original .dvd file and make a .mds file (i made the .mds file after it was patched)
anyone know what i can be doing wrong?
hope you can help! as i want cod mw2:-)

did you run the iso through abgx after you patched it.
also no need to delete the .dvd file, they work with imgburn.

Make sure you arent running the patched iso through ABGX after it has been patched.
If waveconverter never works for you there is apparently another way to patch via ABGX. There is a tutorial on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DnDTd5I4KAQ
I havent tried it yet as I havent got a wave 4 yet.

yeah just make sure the .dvd file is in the same folder as the patched iso.
