ok lose the ! it's very rude :P
try running it through 360wavepatcher and see what wave it says it is, if it says wave 3 it's already been patched, you could always try patching it upto wave 4 then running it through abgx just to be sure the downloaded iso is ok.

Is it Iectreme?
I sense that there is confusion over the word "patch" as there are 2 programs "patch"; ABGX (stealth patch) and 360 waves patcher (converts waves).

You ask "Is it iextreme?" yes the game will be compatible with your iextreme. I read you are using iextreme 1.6 so follow the instructions on how to convert the wave on the 360wavespatcher program.

So to clarify; If you want to play this game online then DO NOT use 360 waves patcher. However as this is a thread about waves patcher then Im assuming you are not going online with this. So you needn't be worrying about stealth patching in ABGX. I have the same file as you "Call.of.Duty.Modern.Warfare.2.XBOX360.RF." and it works for me, so you don't really need to check it against ABGX's database.

The only programs you need to be using are 360 waves patcher and imgburn.

I had a box get flagged for banning during the last wave, so I never played on live again. I went out and bought an arcade box with the intention of moving the one hard drive between the two boxes. Now that I'm not going to play on live with my modded box, I obviously don't care about stealth so I would rather use the wave patcher instead of opening my box again to flash.

My question is, are any of the disc checks stored on the xbox hard drive? Or, better still, is there anyone here using one hard drive and swapping it between a box running wave patcher and an unbanned box on live?

The whole reason for not playing the modded box on live was so I wouldn't get banned and my profile wouldn't be corrupted when trying to switch between two boxes, I would hate to ruin that by using the wave patcher and find out that info is stored on the hard drive.

I've been all over trying to find something to answer the question, and all I'm getting are posts about NVRAM and secdata. This seemed like the only place where I might find people doing exactly what I want to try. Thanks for any help.

I don't think my friend could have ask my question any better. If anyone has any insight on this topic it would be appreciated. Greatly.

Ok this could be a very silly question, but i'd rather just check. I downloaded the install, and installed everything, then downloaded the Wave3 file. Then when i went to extract the Wave 3 file to the location "Wavesdata" that you said we must, i could not find it,there was only the File "Install" inside "C/Program Files/360Wavespatcher"
Must i create the file "Wavesdata". . . or am i missing it?
Thanks

Hey, i hope you can help me. I just can't get the patched Games to work. I always get the dirty disc error when i boot up a patched game.
I tried burning with CloneCD and Imgburn. Also i tried it on 4 differend DVD-Burners already. I use verbatim media and burn with 2,4x speed. Tried patching with the 360WavePatcher and ppf-o-matic, still not working. Also i tried 4 different Games, (MW2, BAtman: AA, LFD2, Borderlands) but no luck here. The Xbox hast the newest update on it.
Any suggestions? Thx in advance.

I´m facing the same (very annoying) problem dens182 , but for me it worked for a while, at least with 3 games, then it was all downhill... are you patching to wave 3 or 2? I see more people with problem patching to wave 2 (my case), well the sad news for us is no one will really come up with the answer, it´s not happening to like 90% of users, you know? so most likely people will say it´s bad burner, bad media, bad computer, bad xbox driver and so on... but me I´ve burned at least 25 games before the ones that gave me trouble, and never got a dirty disk error, all of the sudden I start patching and the error is a sure bet, every single game I burn is doomed.

Right now I´m pretty hopeless, why? cause just for test purposes I bought a game burned by someone else, left 4 dead 2 the one that I downloaded 3 isos and neither worked... and gues what? the freaking disk he burned worked... I´m a bit clueless, I can only hope it´s really the burner, or the media... I´ll do an upgrade on my pc soon, get a new burner, get a bunch of different media brands and hope that starting over will help me out. Other than that I can only hope updating to LT or at least 1.61 will solve it.

Im getting a problem with a Wave4 that I converted to wave3. The game is gta episodes. It starts and plays as normal, can be playing for a long time without a problem, then suddenly the screen will freeze, accompanied by an abrubt crackling audio.

If I try to restart the game the xbox wont read copied games, only retail ones. If I leave it half an hour the xbox will read copies again, but then Ill get the same error again, which is infuriating when you are half way through a mission (considering GTA's antiquated system of pointlessly having to drive half a town to each mission).

Does anyone know why it is doing this? Could it be a problem with the wavesdata file? Im going to test the Ballad of Gay Tony to see if this one is playable but I expect the same error.

hey mascareir, i got it to work. Since it just didn't work with the auto patcher, i loaded a wave 2 game and extracted the wave2 video.iso and pfi.bin with abgx360 and then patched my wave 3 and 4 games with this data, also with abgx360 as in this youtube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DnDTd5I4KAQ

now you should have a working wave2 game, hope this helps. i use a external samsung se-s224q drive to burn the games.

To Sicdude,

I have a modded Xbox 360 with a BenQ drive running on 1.6fw. I can play Wave 4 games like Tekken 6, Dragon Age: Origins without the activate.iso disc. The problem is that I can't play COD: MW2 on my console without the activate.iso disc. I tried to patch the game to wave 3 as you said. Even then, it runs with the help of activate.iso disc only. I don't care about playing online. I want to play the game without the need for putting the activate.iso disc every time. Is there any way to do it?

Please, put me outta by misery, buddy! I'll be very grateful to you.

Hi dodoegg1 I assume you got 360 Waves Patcher v1.2.2 where there is an option for language at the bottom left corner. Click on the British flag and the language is in english. Now you can follow the steps below.

You can download the Wave2 wavesdata from the software "360 Waves Patcher" itself. At the bottom of the software you can find the option "Download Data for Wave 2" in the drop down list. select it and click download.

i followed the steps to no avail and then someone mentioned using abgx360.. but is this instead of this guide? before? after? and why it it not mentioned in the first post?

what does each program actually DO? do they both patch it?

hope you can help a fellow gamer!

Both programs 'patch' but they patch in different ways.

ABGX stealth patches isos so that they work on xbox live.

360WavesPatcher converts (or "patches") the waves of isos so that they will work on an older firmware.

As this is the 360WavesPatcher thread, ignore ABGX; as you cannot stealth patch an iso that has been converted.

No Im not admin so just send me the money instead, my Paypal address is..... just kidding

I have only used wave converter on 2 games, but co-incidentally its the 2 that you are trying to convert, so I should be able to help. (I am assuming by cod2 you mean modern warfare 2 *bloody namechange is causing havoc*).

What do you mean by "I played them on xbox before"

Basic steps of what I did;
1-Make sure you have an iso and dvd file
2-If you want to check if the iso is valid then run it through abgx which will compare it against its database (though this isnt that necessary if you have got it from a trusted source or ripped the game yourself)
3-Make a duplicate of the folder which contains your game (so that in the event of anything going wrong you will still have a normal version)
3-Open wavesconverter and drag iso into the filepath
4-Convert to whichever wave is compatible with your firmware
5-Drag the dvd file into imgburn and burn

I trust you know the basics; burn on to dual layer, higher end discs work better etc?

I have that exact same problem! I can play T6 and DA:O without act.iso disk but not AC2. Just tried Darksiders patched to wave 2 and still have to use act.iso disk...

i mean i haver played wave 3 games on my xbox 360 before so thats why i was changing to wave 3 again.. did you convert to wave 3 or two? should i maybe try 2?

i did all that BUT! i deleted the original .dvd file and used a created (in img burn) an .mds file i thought you needed to do this when making games as i did it with all my others.

so if i run it in agbx FIRST to validate,.. (but it doesnt actually change the file? ) or do i then use an original file again not the one i checked through agbx?

what will it say to validate? although i'm confident they are trusted sources and other people wuote saying they work.

i then when you use image burn you use the original .dvd file.. right i'l give that a try.. and my one admission.. i dont use top end dl-dvds.. to be fair i never have but never get any problems..? (unless THIS is one:-) )

hope this works but i think its pretty much what i did before i think?

1-I converted to wave 3 but if all else fails try converting to wave 2.

2-Don't think ABGX changes the file but just in case make a copy, run one copy through ABGX for verification, if it passes then use the other copy in the wavesconverter. Validation will be the usual text written in green. If you are being given loads of red sentences then maybe its a bad download. However as you have got 2 games I would say that chances are you have at least one that will work. And like you say- other users have commented that the torrents work so both games are probably working.

3-As far as DL is concerned, you dont necessarily need expensive media if you know that cheap media has worked in the past. For example if you had put Gears of War 2 onto cheap media and it worked, then so should GTA; Episodes and MW2. The quality of the disc doesnt have to be higher because it is a different wave.

I dont know about .mds files I have always used .dvd files. If you have deleted them it doesnt matter they can be recreated in notepad, just read the tutorial on youtube how to do this.

Has anyone elses computer been fried by downloading this program and the wave 3 files? I downloaded these files, from the links provided here, everything checked out fine with the virus scan, yet, all open programs have crashed, and now windows won't even boot up, I have a black screen. This happened AS I WAS USING THIS PROGRAM. I don't know what to make of it. Has anyone else had this problem? I seriously don't want to have to format my computer because of this thing.
