No, the powerscan option is still there when you go into user installation.

Not used it yet, I would presume it sets the step rate at a lower level, usually by default step is set to 8, maybe it sets it to 1 which would take allot longer to scan.

As said never used it and it's new to me too. Stick with the powerscan if your having trouble finding channels then try the deep scan.

Yea you only use this if you're having trouble finding all the channels on a Powerscan. My mate did a Deep Scan by mistake and it took nearly 3 hours. So do yourself a favour and do a quick Powerscan first - you'll almost always get everything you need with it.

Forget the reset button just follow these instructions.
HiTeck

Followed your instructions. Eamo's etc, worked like a charm, clone box working perfectly now, you have my utmost thanks.

At the end of Box/Box transfer I thought it'd failed, but I did channel transfer, soon as I did it all kicked in!!!

If anyone out there has any doubts about their boxes, see this chap and his associates, Scouser, Malci and others, they'll help you out.

Once again, cheers mate!!

They've changed the frequencies for those channels - I've posted them earlier in this thread - if you can't do them manually you'll have to do a Factory Default and Powerscan

The above should read like this:-

When you did your power scan did you set the parameters for the scan - if not you should set it 100.00 and 700.00. Hope this helps...

Hey peeps, my mate has asked me to have a look at his eurovox and see if i can sort it out. My first question was what type is it and he just had a blank look on his face LoL.

after a bit of research i believe the box to be a eurovox 2 as it is all silver and has 2 scart sockets. Id prefer if someone could confirm this though as i dont want to end up killing the box completely.

If this is a eurovox 2 then can anyone tell me where i would look out for new firmware as there doesnt even seem to be a folder for eurovox 2 on Eamos, just the EX's TX and max.

Thanks in advance peeps :)

Hi everyone hope u can answer my question.
I am totally new to flashing, I had a go at flashing my parents box as i didnt want them paying for this service!!(They have previously before i discovered this wonderful website).
Anyways i have done the flash and the box is working for now but when i looked at the systems config the software shows up as below:
model: dvb-xc box tda
S/W ver: 1.0STA APR 18 2008
H/W VER 2.0t
BOTTSTRAP V002

should'nt the S/W display 30-11-08?
Has the firmware been updated or am i right to be thinking it has'nt worked.
May i add before the flashing i was manually updating and as the codes have not changed i dont know for sure if i have managed the update!

Sorry if u feel i'm wasting your time i just need to know if the firmware worked.
Thanking you all in advance.

That is correct, it is that firmware that has been modified, and will still show that date, it is not a problem. If you are not sure that you managed to flash it - then do this to check, Menu OK on Language, type 1968, then type 1968 again and press YELLOW button, Default Key and exit out to Sly Spo*rts 1 and see if it updates, then you will know.

You download Winrar from the same place Eamo's FTA Library, install and unzip it with that.
