Hi all. I'm realtivley new to all this. I'm trying to update my Kryptview A750. I've followed the letter exactly but it fails to do what is stated above. Basically what happens is this, when it comes to opening the file which should start to download nothing happens. Could there be a problem with the firmware, if so does anyone have a version they know to work. My version is 20052010. thanks in advance. BM1962

Hi guys,
I was watching racing on channel 4, turned on the kryptview a780, the screen was still blank after a minute. Tried other channels, all were blank.
Done a factory reset then scanned again, I have some channels but others are blank any advice, should I load the software again and start from scratch? Or is there another answer, and is anyone else experiencing the same conditions. The router has not been turned off.
Will try another scan later see if this sorts out the problem

yep they are aware of the problem and will be sorted soon if you have done a full factory default and a new scan a you find you still cant view some channels just leave it they will be back later this evening.
As there was a major freq move last night so things have to be reset to fix the problem

OK, rescan done. It also had new software pv3.4.00, dated the 18/06/2010, although now there are channels missing.
Yet the same problem persists, I can get sly sports 4 but not 1,2,3, no racing channels. I can get some movies but not prem and I can get sly 2,3 but not 1.
Am I doing something wrong? had the box a week, followed the instructions as included in this thread without a problem until now, any help or suggestions appreciated.

I have been through the menu and must ask by auto update, do you mean the power search in other settings?
As I do not see any auto update mentioned in the manual or on the screen shots in the menu.
I will however take your advice and leave it to sort itself out, but thanks for the reassurance and advice given.

no if you followed the tutorial you will see where it shows you how to default your box in the menu after that the next screen shows auto scan on the bottom use that for scanning next screen shows top your provider change that if you need the next 2 item leave them alone and then press the green button on the remote to scan next screen you will see a list of areas you pick the nearest area to you and press ok then just leave the box to scan when its finished just connect your ethernet cable and leave it alone channels that are off then will come back later this evening if not come back and let us know

sorry to be so pedantic but I thought automatic search was part of the tuning process and it never occurred to me this is what you meant.
If this is it, all my questions are answered and I thank you for your time and patience

Not getting very far with this, when I try to start the bin file running I get a pop up box STB Editor - The downloading is not requested
Can anyone help me please?
Edit - That ^^ was due to not having a driver for the USB serial adapter!!
Went through all the process but when I get to the the last part of the tutorial (Add Tp List) under list of network id it starts at 1 and goes all the way to 10 and tells me Already exists - I don't get to choose an option from the big list of net ids - it then scans for channels but doesn't find any.
Any pointers?
Edit again - sorted, it was a loose connection
