the network id reads (00) 00002(glasgow)and i am using cable broadband

no. 3 network id.s appear but only 1 with an area mentioned tried the others and nothing

you did take the sticker of the back of the box for the ethernet cable to go into the box i hope ??

you could try another reflash of the box and see will that help is the light on the back of the box where you put the ethernet into lighting up can you see that ??

In this tut where does it mention connecting to anything over the internet, i.e. so you put the krypt into a router via ethernet cable, but then what is this box connecting to. I assume the ip of the cs server is coded into the firmware?

I think what he is referring to is how does the box know what IP address to point to to reach their server, is this in the patch?

put the software on the box dont worry about the rest the box will do what is needed

Hello, forgive me if im not allowed to reply with my problem in this thread, but it is relevant..My good news is a780 came today,I have laptop with vista business,also have null modem and usb adaptor with a disc called usb serial converter,this is not mentioned in ur tut on setting up comport on vista,anyway i proceeded as per tut.but when I get to Device Manager and look for "Ports"in right hand pane there are none,I also ran the disc that I got, with the usb already connected I hope I havent buggered everything up. I want to do this but Im very new and really need some help Please, Thanks.

Vista is a nightmare, if you have access to a PC with XP, use that

is there not a guide by e45 iconnect or argan3 that includes the setup for drivers

Thanks Mickah but its no good there are no "Ports" in Device Manager and when I try load usb serial converter d it wont, says "failed" contact manufacturer (all in all waste of £20 quid). Going to ask my friend to do the job on his pc. I give up I just dont have the knowhow, pity Thanks again

stick it in the buy/sell ect.... you will get something back!!
also that would be best idea to do it on a friends XP comp/laptop

Hello, On thr tut it says "open loader" when I try it wants to know which program,Im new and confused could someone please tell me how to proceed in updating my box. the tutorial looks excellent and simple its just a matter of getting to the download section. Thanks in advance.

if you read the tut you would see it uses a loader to load the file on the box

Went to my friends house yesterday to use pc, his sony pc has no 9pin port (that I can see) used old computer no internet. now! a silly question do i have to be online to up date box, I put loader and bin file on desktop with. memory stick. Sorry again.

no you dont have to be on line download the tutorial so you have it to hand and then get the loader and the software on to your desktop and then read the tutorial and flash the box step by step
