you should always have the latest on your box but that is your decision or his

i would suggest a factory default on the box and do a new scan and see what happens first and i dont mean just rescan the box factory default it back

did you follow the instructions fully for scanning the box i suggest you look at the tutorial on page 1 of this thread and follow it fully as if you are following you should get a list of net id like below and also make sure you are not scanning on a split feed

why do some boxes have to have 1 area code selected yet mine you get a red button to select all is it my software is old and if so is that not the best software as i get all channels with some downloading 4 or 5 times of which i pick the working ones and delete the rest

you should get an area net id to choose from you DO NOT PRESS RED BUTTON leave it at network scan if you look at the tutorial and follow it excatly you wont be having a prob thats what the tutorials are for i suggest you go and read it as you are scanning your box in correctly and that is why you are having problems

Hi I received my kv box, but the nearest ID is watford on 41051 and nearest to me harrow is on 41047. I scanned on watford but no sky sp 1,2, no movies , half the asian channels, no bbc 1, 2. If I dont have the original virgin box connected via a splitter the virgin will not get anything talkback and might suspect. Any way why am i not getting the missing channels or 41047 in the net id list. already I'm thinking of binning this box.

you will need to get your correct id now as when they changed over to N3 they also changed some of the area id as well check your subbed box and get it from that then you will know what you should be on and you will get all your channels

Thanks for your reply as always, I follow all instructions but my id list has 67 locations (no london)unlike the tut list of 199,Im currently watching most channels using portsmouth as id, cant figure it out watford or hackney, which is closer have loads missing, problem now is low frequency numbers ie.162.750, 170.750, signal strenth is 88 yet quality is 0-25 v bad freezing,is there anything I do about that? as for id areas I wish I could find one with all channels and good quality signal, thanks for all your help.

if your signal is good and your quality is as bad as that you are going to have lots of problems your quality should be on par with your signal only way you can find out your net id is to check your own subbed box its on it in the settings somwhere

your providers box ?? if you dont have one of these this is why you are having problems with your cable as if you only pay for Broadband they reduce your incoming signal so you cant split it to use on your tv so if that is the case you will have to make do with what you have
