Don't be so touchy, Pio. You know how frustrating it is when box won't connect to
network. Chap is only letting off steam. You don't need to apologise to anyone on here.
You have helped countless members on this forum, & if I'm not mistaken you started this
thread, which now contains a mine of information. Keep the faith.

Question about the quality of your dm500s guys.
I had a dm500t that never froze or dropped signal, then a dm500c that was forever freezing.
Both from dvbseller.com. Probably clones
Have you had any freezing/signal dropping issues?
And where did you get yours.
Thanks
Ps - anyone any expierence with the Vu+ duo? Looks a serious machine... :)

Was only joking Pat, your help is appreciated as always!!!
Whatever you say, say nothing when you talk about you know what for if you know who might hear you, you know what youll get. Youll be sent off to you know where for you would not know how long. Maybe I could search through the threads so you dont have to ??

so sg8 did you have any joy. jicjoc, freezing issues are associated with your provider not the box. this is true both in the case of sharing and connecting directly to a provider network

nabilosat darkstar 11, or is it 2, followed the tut, but when loaded with a cline i was left with cats head with a flashing NABILOSAT, unable to use remote, i had to load some other image just to get it working, i'm back to free to air. any help appreciated.
for some reason i have been wiped off the site? I rejoined using my old user name with an S on the end, if the mod would have a look please.
Thanks in advance

image is irrelevant. all that matters is correct cccam setup. if you had a working situation prior to loading image then it should also work afterwards. many images available on the web are corrupt. so its trial and error

you must be online with the box. therefore use the blue button to download cccam 2.1.4. next use flashfxp to transfer cccam.cfg from /var/etc to your local computer. then put whatever information you need to put in there and transfer it back to /var/etc

I would say if you got all that set up yourself, you probably know more about this stuff than most of the people on here!!
If you want to PM me a cline, I could test it for you !!

its a typo in your client cccam.cfg cline as compared to the fline on your server. it happens. maybe you forgot to put the port in the cline, maybe the username and password just do not match (check uppercase, lowercase), maybe your dyndns hostname is not spelt correctly and of course always restart the cam after putting the new cccam.cfg in /var/etc. what i suggest you do is put the working cline from your other client in the cccam.cfg then modify it as necessary as you wish for your brother. then go to your server and double check that username and password is the same. also check that the parameters after the username and password in the fline on the server do in fact correspond to the working client line that you have used on your brothers machine

ok for starters its really dangerous to be allowing access on port 80 on your router to your dreambox. next, lets get the basics sorted. when you check the brothers dreambox via blue button can you confirm that the dreambox has a valid ip address. you should also be able to login to the brothers modem and verify that the modem has assigned a valid ip address to the dreambox. please confirm that this is the case first

weird. you should not be able to connect to your dreambox from a computer within your network. you should always get the router login page. also to be able to connect from your brothers house/neighbours house to your dreambox you must first port forward port 80 on your router to your dreambox internal ip. i suggest when you do this then you will be able to access the dreambox configuration page from your brothers house. and when you do this it only confirms my viewpoint that your cline or fline is not correctly written
cline would be
c: dyndnshostname 12000 username password no
fline would be
f: username password 2 0 1 { 0:0:1 }
please confirm this format and also confirm that you can access your dreambox from your brothers house after you port forward port 80 on your router. note once this test is complete you should remove this port forwarding.
also can you confirm that you are using cccam 2.1.4 on all boxes

Fintannl you say in youre post use ccam 2.1.4 yet piopat says use ccam 2.1.3 which is correct or does it matter once all boxes internal sharing have the same ccam

no cccam 2.1.3 is fine on the server. ok if you have port 80 forwarded then it must be an ip update issue. can you check dyndns to make sure your ip is updated. also i suggest that you activate inadyn on your dreambox as a method of updating your ip. if this is ok then i get the impression that the port on your router to access the dreambox is being blocked. are you using port 12000. use portchecker to see that port is open
