I recently have tried the Ritek G04 DVD-Rs and have had bad luck so far. I ususally use Sony or Maxell, more expensive but better results for me.

I'm always curious when people give us a testimonial. So, I like to ask a question or two. Are those the Maxell = Riteks, Maxell = Ricohs, Maxell = MXLs, or Maxell = TYs? The Sonys, are those Sony = Mitsibishi, Sony = Ricoh, or a Sony by Sony? I always like to give credit to the right manufacturer. I've used some of the Maxell/Ricohs and they're pretty good media, just overpriced.

For the most part I've had good luck with GO4 but I've heard of knockoffs and low grade rejected GO4's being sold on the market as high grade Ritek. If you've bought high quality branded Ritec and you're having a problem then there's a chance you might need to look elsewhere for your problem.
