how come i can't even get it to boot? my friend got it from thailand and i'm borrowing it. it's NTSC-J, i have a v4 ps2 with a magic 3 modchip. my ps2 boots other NTSC-J games, cd or dvd-r.

ragazzi io ho aperto un forum x gli italiani su sto sito detto 'gran turismo 4 visto da un italiano'.
se volete dire la vostra fate pure e se qualcuno conosce la soluzione si faccia sentire:io ho gt4 su dvd9,mi parte ma si blocca sulla schermata delle licenze.ma il problema quale e? sembra che la ps2 non legga dvd9 masterizzati!quindi l'unica soluzione x me e' la rip su dvd-r da 4,7 gb!fatevi sentire raga!

got tha chinese copy 2day (retail) and it wrks fine. Dnt really thnk im gonna buy tha euro or us version.

hi! i hav the Japanese version SCPS-17001 from Gran Turismo 4 and Magic Slide Card Version 3.3 but the game doesn't run! anyone has an idea what i could do?

I too have DMS3 chip, PS2 V9 and the Japanese import game and can confirm that it works 100% on every boot attempt.

Why an earth do u need a buide for gt4?? Have u not played a GT game before??
There are no US/English tips available as the UK/US version isnt out yet!! :)

NTSCgame if you have a Japanese PS2 you shouldn't have to use the Slide Magic swap at all. Just put the Japanese GT4 in your Japanese PS2 and play.

i can top that.. i got my copy for $1.95US'ish.. so far i've had to buy about 15-20 copies for various friends and people in here.. for me sending it to them costs a lot lot more...
and i said i'd get slammed for syaing im an english teacher.. *shrugs*.. if i cared as much about what people think of me in here as i do about my job i'd actually use correct grammer and spelling but blah blah blah.. i dont see anyone else here posting without the odd mistake here and there,, and i should be the first to correct them.. im just happy helping out where i can,, and getting this kickarse game into peoples hands so they can share in the fun.. and i know there's quite a few people here that are thankfull for that.. it's more than a certain little boner here has done for anyone.. but im not naming names.. *smirks*..
your games should be there soon guys, all but one have be mailed...

all i see is about 50 newbies posting the same thing over and over again, saying the game iso doesnt work. please stop it, its not helping. you are not the only one asking, everyone else wants to find a solution also.

Time to end the suffering . . the only things u got to do is download another 5.8GB file and buy some 8GB DVD-R's like i did!
I got ps2 small edition with Matrix Infinity Mod V1.39!
Downloaded the GT4-ISO via torrent called:
"gran turismo 4 dvd9 asia image by orgs.torrent"
Don't know the URL where I got the torrent but here is the HASH code:

not so fast, i tried that image few days ago, nothing different from other downloaded isos, it plays copyright screen then stops

for me it works perfect!
My burner is a
SAMSUNG WRITEMASTER
DVD+-R/RW TS-H552 DVD+R Double Layer 2.4
See, its always a 50 to 50 percent thing in my eyes . . I got this modded ps2 since 2weeks now!
I also downloaded the prologue DVDRip but this one didnt work for me . . I also patched it for DVD but i get blackscreeen after copyright like u do with the Asian Full Image! I cant help if it doesnt work . . . sorry! I can only tell you how I did it with my settings, that's it!
And the translation from JAP to ENG u can look here!
