look, check out the ps3 and 360 a war to come forum, i will post something soon something
yoou all should read.
i played the 360 more today, the antialiasing blows. i also got into the heatred argument
about the and the ps3 with this 360 rep/employee of Software Etc. It was quite fun, and every
time i stated something about ps3 he would just dismiss it saying sony lies. look, if sony is
lying this time and they are not up to what they say, i will no longer endorse them as a good
company, since the said many thing for the ps2 that never happened like hdd incorperation
into everyday use.

Yes you're right KooKoo, it's the 7800 chip which will be simmilar to the RSX and I typed that wrong, but that doesn't change the outcome of the calculation, since this chip also uses vector 4 :)

I would start it's own seperate thread fo what I am about to say but its not worth it espesialy with the amount of threads going around.
Just to quickly say that I believe the 360 will do well in Japan. I know it has slow sales but I think that was Microsoft's mistake. They should have released the 360 in Australia before Japan where it would have been much more appreciated.
I just want to quote from a website as to why I think the 360 will do well in Japan.

xbox360 is doing worse in japan than the original xbox did. I dont think they are goign to buy the 360's. They are just leaving the 360's on the shelves.

The article is from a neutral source where the Japanese public where asked on thier thoughts of the 360. I believe it will not out perform the PS3 in terms of sales in Japan but it will close the gap.

japanese culture is based around honor, or so it was. i dont think they will have much respect a company that tries to muscle in on territory it does not belong it, or on territory just to destroy other companies. not much honor in that. i believe the same.

and kookoo you are forgeting about the memory bit architecture.
the RSX has a 32 bit architecture, whilst the Xenon has a 64 bit architecture. Because of this the Xenon can handle more things at once and offer support and more features on its chip.
E.g. it can have High-Dynamic-Range lighting enabled ALONG with Anti-aliasing without any problems or big performance hit. Neither of which ANY Nvidia chip can do. it can also have adaptive anti-aliasing which is the best form yet, much better than multi-sample AA, as it picks out all the small things that MSAA misses.
more flexibility, more maneuverable, 64 bit archi and unified shader architecture make this possible, dont be a smart asre and say - YeA but *(^&^%~@::~@:~@ RSX is better, its faster etc, bullshit.

if the BEST technician in the world told you that the Xenon was better YOU WOULD STILL say that RSX is better.
ill say it again, no matter how hard you try kookoo, even if its for all next year (when both consoles are out) you will not get ANYWHERE.
The Xenon is truly - a next gen step is technologicaol terms, it has many things developers have wanted on their cards for years, and it is the first one.
from this card MANY good things will come. they can use its architecture to make even better future cards. THIS IS WHAT FUTURE MEANS.
whilst Nvidia will still be stuck with just clocking their cards faster, which is mainly what they have done with their RSX, 7800512 etc. still in dark ages.
Don't judge the consoles by specs, more isnt always better, espec in PS3 specs.i know the truth, ask if u wanna know.......
Do not compete without valid correct technicality on your terms of the argument.

ok to this last poster, what ati card has ever beated its nvidia counterpart? i couldnt think of any. the rsx was designed in its own way for optimum performance. i believe that if there was better without sacrifice the rsx would have picked it. but going with what they have there is a clear reson. also, wiki is written by other people but what man seeem to lackis the knowlage that this info has to be tested by many people and have many sources before it can even be thought to be acceptable.

Then why are you buying a PS3? The PS3 is a Japanese product muscling in on the western world. There for technicaly speaking you should buy a 360.
However you might come out with somthing along the lines of 'I didnt mean it like that, I ment when a new company comes along and try's to muscle in. The Japanese and myself have respect for the companies that are not muscling in by sticking by them'. So if this is the case then the same question apply's, 'why are you buying a Playstation'? The reason for this question is because there where two companies called Sega and Nintendo until a big multi billion dollar compay called Sony came along and muscled in. Can you remembe that? So technicaly going buy what you say then you shouldnt buy a PS3 or 360, you should be buying a Revolution.

the western world was under little or no control of any western gaming company. what muscling was done? sony come is with their knowlage to impress the masses. microsoft is trying the same and not doing so hot reversed. they should have released 360 is austrailia but they released it in japan where it would do significantly les so ppl there would have 360's and not ps3's. many 360's in japan are collecting dust while here people are killing over a system not worth it. ms is probably the most evil and unruly companies i know, they are unethical and they brainwash. look at how shitty windows is. they didnt put windows on 360 because it would have sold nothing to what it has with what shitty of an op sys it is. i'm supprised 360 owners arnt complaining of viruses and spyware. sony hasnt made an op sys have they? ms..what have they not made? we need more divers companies. sonay makes alot but they try not to stick their nose into to many places it would not be welcomed by compitition.

Yes Microsoft are greedy when it comes to windows etc and thats because they are a company with the monoplay in that area.
The reason why you think Microsoft is evil is because it's under the microscope from the media including the man than owns the company. Sony are just as bad if not worse because thay are not as much in the spot light. There are nice big fat cats sitting at thier desks laughing at the money they have made from our backs just like Microsoft want to do. This is called buisness and the real world.
So moving along Microsoft are doing some good things to thier new console that will make it stand out. So much so that it convinced me to not buy a PS3 and to get the 360 instead.

It doesnt matter, ps3 CPU memory runs at 3.2ghz. Still beats the 360's with 700mhz shared.
You are forgetting that there are different types fo ram, the artcle i gave, even on my signiture says that Toshiba new xdr ram that the ps3 wil have will be the fastest ram on the market. 12x faster than the typical ram oin pcs. (DDRAM) You forget different types of ram, 360 having worser ram than the ps3. 256mb at 3.2ghz(3200mhz) faster than 512mb at 700mhz. DO YOU NOT SEE THAT?

It even says that on afterdawn news. 360' wont use all 6 threads in 3-5 years, and it wont use 4 threads even 2-4 years. Game developers didnt need multy threading, sure its a good thing, but its not what they wanted from next gen .

PS:unified architectures are not new
Charza, you calculations, they didnt include all performance, it was just a small portion. What happen to ram, cache tflop ect?
Cache already proven to be better than 360's

To truthman, charza proved that 360 wil have better performance, not better graphics, which i've already agreed on before charza's post. I proved better graphics for ps3, something you did'nt do.

M$ is more with computers, while Sony is more with, sterios, mp3's walkmen, Tv's, and tuns more. I've even heard Sony is gogin to make Toasters and Kitchen appliances. They make cameras aswell.
Lol, can ou imagine their toaster if the rumers are true? Its like the toaster is so high tech , when your toast is done, instead of making a laud noise, it would be like ."Good afternoon kookoo, your food is toasted. Thank you for choosing sony" or some bulshit like that.LOL.
