Yeah mine used to do that twas a pain in the arse. set up a kind of static IP on your psp I.e note down all the IP addresses once it's connected through network settings (on the PSP it self). Then go back and edit you connection settings (on your PSP) and manually enter the ip addresses you just noted down. This cured that problem for me and made it a bit quicker connecting. hope it helps fella.

i'm having a similar problem, i have it all set up and working but once i exit the browser and try and reconnect later on i get the ip cannot be obtained message. to fix this i have to remove the wifi dongle from the pc and plug it in again. is there a way to get around having to keep re-inserting it back into the computer everytime i want to go online on the psp.

Ok guys I know you are already answered tons of problems with this wifi max and I have looked at this entire post and several other websites for information reguarding my problem...
I currently have dial up (aol) and cannot figure out how to set up anything reguarding the wifi max. I understand I need to make a new connection becuase aol doesnt work. I would like to know how to set up a alternet dial up connection (I tried setting one up but it didnt seem to let me use my current aol acct)
If anyone could help me out I would greatly appreciate it, very sorry for this lack of know-how.(All I want to do is play socom.....Is that so much to ask?)

ok maybe you guys can help me out with this since Datel are morons. I have windows SP2. The message that I read from my psp is this:
A connection error has occoured.
The attempt to obtain the IP address
timed out.
What can I do to fix this. Also I did have it working then whenever I would disconnect I couldn't connect again. I checked my Wireless connection and there would be nothing being sent out the second time around. Does anyone know how to fix this also. Thanx in advanced.

hey ickledaz have you tried entering your i.p manually
I can create a network conection by manully putting in the i.p adresses and and dns. I test it and it works 100% signal.
Once I try to use the browser I get "A DNS error has occurred. ( 80410410 )" I really dont know what to do. Were am I suppose to get the ip and dns that i enter into the psp, I jsut went into the wifi max internet connection>properties>Internet protocall>properties and put in a ip adress subnet mask ect and copied the same into my psp except for the ip adress i change the last # in the i.p to avoid conflicts..
Any help would be greatly appriciated Thanks.
