well you can put x-select on power up to choose what you want to load up ... but you can also install them as apps.... i personaly dont like evox because ITS VERY VERY BUGGY on ftping.. on sid 4 and 4.5 works diffrently then the triditinal softmods so you have to install any new dash or anyting to E drive not C!!!!.... for what i'v been told by the creator of AID3 DJB , he said to choose the hacked dashboards for sid 4 system.

hmm i duuno man usualy i choose hacked dashboarsds and put it to E . but try softmod dashboards and put them to E ....

put it as dhcp and see if that fixes the xbl issue

go to ur hacked dash and click on settings and change it from static to dhcp... inside your network settings

Also make sure that your router (if you have one) and your firewall are set up to allow access from the new xbox IP's.

i got the 007 auf and the action replay and have the files sid launcher and the file called bonds auf..ii transfered em to the hdd and started auf..when i got to the screen i clicked load mission and clicked the hard disk drive but then it said "unable to load saved game". imean id did evrything right.will some1 help

wow thats a first one,Do you have the PLATINUM edition? if so then it WILL NOT! work. 2)did you transfer BOTH of the sid 4.0 2 FILES? linux and game save launcher ?

Hi there.
So I softmodded my Xbox, all is well, accessing LIVE fine, etc. BUT, when I access my RETAIL MS dashboard, it brings me to the Xbox Live account management, and doesen't let me access Memory, Music, Settings etc. It just takes me to the dashboard immediately. Is there any way to go to the MS dash as it normally was? Cheers.

Hey Guys
I am a n00b to the softmod community. I just got my xbox modded on the weekend. I plan on upgrading my harddrive this weekend to a 160gb.....w00t. Anyway I have a quick question.
I have a copy of Splinter Cell, but it is a Greatest hits version. Will that copy work for the save game exploit? And if I were to try and access the save game with that copy, could it damage the xbox?
Any help would be great

I don't think it will damage the Xbox, but it just won't work, it won't bring up the menu. So just don't even try to do it, and get the original.

Do you mean Platnium? I used Spinter Cell Platnium Hits to softmod my XBOX. It worked without a problem.
I have used the same copy of SPLC to soft mod 4 of my friends xbox's as well.

Yeah, splinter cell plat works. I dont know if there are 2 versions of the plat like 007...but I like to just say no plats :P

K,
I know I am going to get laughed at for this but.....
what does the LC stand for after Splinter Cell? Is it a different version? As far as I know I have the original Splinter Cell version but it is a platnium copy.

yea the platinum edition will NOT damage your console. you just wont see the linux on the options. as for the hd upgrde its easy as long as you do it right.

Just wanted to let everyone know that the Platnium edition of Splinter Cell DOES work. I tried it tonight, and it gave the option for linux. Just wanted to clear that up.

Hi all, Firstly I must admit I am a noobie at softmodding my Xbox, I have the action replay and plinter cell, I followed all the instructions on here, I managed to put Softmod installed deluxe 3.1 and the SID splinter cell PAL file on my memory card. I then copied them files to my Xbox hdd, and then ran splinter cell, went to start game clicked on linux and then clicked again, and now I have had a black screen on my tv for 30mins and the green power light on my Xbox, and nothing is happening, can someone please advise me ?? Thank you very very much
