One last question, ( I hope for now anyway, lol)
I am from Canda too, and looked on future shops website for AVMAX and there are 2 kinds. One is more expensive, almost double, but to your knowlodge either will work?
As I dont have a USB key drive I should purchase swap magic then? If so is the only place to purchase SW is online?
Thanks Again

I have the same problem with my copy. A reset does just fine with me(although sometimes I have to hit Reset more than once). Did you try reseting your console when you get the message "Please insert PlayStation or PlayStation 2 format disc"?

AllRIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got it to work but I have some questions
When I load up my copied game every thing loads really slow.
So my question is does using CDLOADER.ELF cause copied games to run slower? And if so how can if fix it? And if not what is wrong with it?
So far Their are three things things that I think could be the problem.
One the quality of the disk and two that the copy is really old. The disk name is nexxtech.
Could anyone tell me if that is a good brand.
The third is the way I am copying the game i forgot how i copied drakenguard 2 but i think I used DVD Decrypter.
I am using Dragon Ball Z Boudaki 3 witch is 4.33 GB to load Drakenguard 2 witch is 4.02 GB.
One more Question is the size difference enough or should I get a bigger game?
Thanx for the Awsome Guide. And all the help.

Hello,
I have a funk little problem getting started. I only have 5 screws in my v14 ps2 SCPH-75001. The 6th screw is missing from the center of the back row (around where the built in network adapter is). So I can't even open my ps2....yet..
Is there another way? I haven't come up with anything yet searching threads.
Help is much appreciated!

Thanks MasterChu. I may try that. My magic key piece #3 broke and the way I was trying to get it in that small metal piece kinda rendered it useless. It's a little bent out of shape. The place where I bought it is sending me a new one and I may try some more, but I'm searching the forums now to see if I can open the console and manually cover up the sensor - v14. Wish me luck!

I did it. I peeled off the warranty sticker and watched the magic void appear (gonna try that marker trick a little later). Located the third sensor and taped it up. As I was closing the lid again I figured I would look on the underside where the that little metal piece was giving me so much trouble. All it had holding it in was a little tiny screw. So I unscrewed it and pulled the piece out and put everything back together....I just played my first "backup" copy!
Thanks for all the advice!

I'll try that thing on mine too because it will have to be opened up to install a chip inside(but the warranty will be still be voided because there has been a modification to the console, but you won't know until you take it apart again, and I'll keep the screw out). But I'm wondering how that "VOID" marking apears when the sticker taken off. Is there some kind of glue that comes off to reveal the "VOID" on the warranty sticker?

Do you have a picture of this VOID marking? I'm curious to see what it looks like(and the change from the Warranty Seal writing to VOID, and what happens when you use black permanent marker to hide it if possible). I also have an extra tip for those who want to take the screw under the Warranty Seal out. Get a pencil before you take out the seal and trace its exact location so that when you have to place it back, you can align it to its exact position.
Okay, now, I have two questions about this seal business:
1) Do all brands of permanent markers work(more precisely Sharpie)?
2) Will white glue work to glue back the seal(that's the only glue I have)?

Perfect. I'll remove the screw under the seal and do this procedure. But, I have a question. Would an Xacto knife work to take out the seal without damaging it? Is it thin enough?

I remember that i used to use a hair dryer and heat it up so it would peel right off with a Xacto knife slowly & it came off. A while later i didnt care bout it anymore and just peeled it back off without the dryer to do some led mods, and it peeled off with the VOID. So i have a question MasterChu u said dont use a heat source to dry the marker/paint...y?... does it shrink a little or something??
