after trying multiple versions, i have found eternalis' guide and files to work best for me. I know have a working devhook. the only problems are the swapped buttons, and the crash on exit. anyone have a few ideas to mess around with that wont mess up the devhook? it is flashed, and using a v 1.5 fw emulating at a 3.02 fw.

- then posters shouldn't raise 3million devhook threads each day (filling up endless pages of the forum which could be used for other questions) and search for themselves, then there wouldn't be a need to keep stuff in one thread. If this thread made you or anyone else go off and find the answers then that's a welcome side effect. Self help is how us regulars rarely need to ask any questions..
But the purpose of forums is for help. If everyone helped themselves, there would be no forums. All I'm asking is for people to be able to create their own threads about their problems so they actually have the ability to get help. I understand that some people don't even bother to search before they post, and your right, that is abusing the forums. But when topics are brought up, others will learn from everyone else. And when some people take the initiative to create tutorials, thats even better.
If in fact all of these "devhook threads" are taking up too much space on you servers, then by all means, do what you gotta do to keep these forums up. If that is true, then this a great idea and I am sorry for not realizing it.
Thank you.

There is a new 3.02 custom firmware that came on pspupdate.qj.net After flashing it to your PSP and you get the blue screen of death, how do you go back to 1.5 if everything you restart it comes. I never tried it yet but wanted to make sure before flashing it to my PSP

Hi there.
I followed this guide:
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/401672
It's working, but when i try to run my ISO through Devhook, this happends:
I have placed the iso in my iso folder in the root of the memory stick. then i boot up Hen, and boot up devhook. i set the settings and press Start. Not it restart the XMB, and it changes the background, but i don't start any game. If i start devhook again, the "intro" is diffrent. You know the white "video". It has changed. Nothing else happends..
What can i do?
Thx

Not sure if this will get answered as this is one massive thread, but I'll stay hopeful and resist starting a new thread with my problem...
I'm getting a 1.5 FW PSP in a few days and I have been keeping an eye on updates from Sony and the developments with devhook programs.
So here's the deal: http://www.psp-hacks.com/2006/12/04/devh...fw-301-support/
That link which you don't have to look at if you don't want to features a short but simple tut for installing FW 3.01 and devhook 0.51, BUT I hear using this method of installing swaps the 'X' and 'O' buttons around, and I've seen something about people who have fixed this but have not had any luck finding the thread again.
If someone could confirm for me that this installation actually does swap the buttons round or furbish me with a link to a fix I would be very grateful.
Many thanks in advance!

shajinth go here for the 3.02 OE-A + DevHook 0.51.0100 Installers
http://www.psp-haxors.com/
Search for a custom firmware thread not here
yes you can go back to 1.5(look in the Readme)
ummjay go here for the swapped buttons, and the crash on exit fix.
http://www.psp-haxors.com/forum/downloads.php (look in Devhook) and 3.01 is better
Juan,
I see there are multiple fixes that you posted on that site. Which is the one you recommend for me to download and use? I just don't want to install the wrong one, just double checking. let me know. thanks for your help.

If you are with 1.5 ,just format your memory stick before doing it.It's very easy.

Juan,
I tried:
DevHook Button Swap Mod For 3.02 FW
DevHook v0.51.0100 Button Swapper For FW 3.02
I did what it told me to do, very simple instructions, but my psp was still swapped. why do you think that happened? Thanks.
