kealvalro im new to this if i go through this process with hend,devhook 0.46, 1.50 dump, and devhook mod 1.65 on my ta-082. then it wont brick?? i would hate to waste a good psp. but i would love to have homebrews.. let me know if i can thanks...

you mean in chunglam devhook or devhook 0.51.
if u are using chunglam then u can just press "HOME" then use the L and R.the games should switch.just look at the bottom of the screen.
devhook 0.51 use have to press "HOME" then on set this
umd image: emulation (look at the bottom of the screen and u will see the game change..
@wicked4 this will not brick your psp using the old one coz u are just emulating devhook with 1.5 or 2.71

I went back and overwrote the dh and psp folders with the ones directly from the UI file. It's still not loading 1.5

weird then try reinstalling it again.use the easy installer v2 and see if there is anymore problems.if it works,great try not to touch the features in 1.50 when u go to devhook menu k.

@wicked4 it works well:).try it if u like it.if u really still dont get the tutorial then use the easy installer instead.
just place all the files in the easy installer straight to your memorystick.then the rest it should be in the tutorial

thanks... i'm downloading the easyinstaller now. The torrent is taking a minute though so I think I need to head to bed and I'll give it a shot tomorrow. I have no idea why loading to 1.5 wasn't working. I didn't touch anything after I installed it. I made the dh settings the same as I always have. And it was on "@autotheme" because there were no other options for it to be on. But it still went to the black screen then shut down. So, I guess we'll see manana. Thanks again.

I don't know, in order to get one devhook version to work, the dh folder that corresponds to a certain folder has to be named dh. For version 4 (something like that) the dh folder has to be named dh or else devhook won't boot. For 0.51 the dh folder has to be named dh. 0.51 boots if the folder is not named dh, but the menu doesn't show up. So you have to keep re-naming the dh folder. On a different topic, I use to feel sorry for me and everyone who had a TA-082 2.71 firmware PSP. But now that there is an exploit we can now run emulators and play homebrew etc. I especially feel sorry for those with a TA-086 firmware 3.01 firmware. There won't be an exploit for those PSP's for a while. Well, thanks kealvalro and everyone else in this thread who have helped me with devhook, HEND, homebrew, emulators.......basically this guide
My PSP Firmware History: 2.60 had to return the PSP because it had a dead pixel > new PSP had firmware 2.71 > 1.5 > 3.52 M33 > 3.52 M33-4 > 3.71 M33 > 3.71 M33 with 1.50 kernel

Hey wats up I don't know if I'm the only one having this problem,but can anyone emulate multiple games in devhook 0.51 .I keep getting prx failed messages everytime I try to change a game in devhook 0.51(devhook 0.46 launcher for 2.71 lets me into 1.50 emulation).I have to hard reset the psp everytime in order to run another game,other than that everything is working just fine.I can get firmware 1.50 emulation and 3.01 emulation running though.I thought about it for awhile and the devhook is setup for firmware 2.71 initially,so emulating 3.01 for me seems to disable my original prx files and use the 3.01 prx files.I was wondering if anyone is having this problem also,if not I will just redue the install for devhook 0.51 all over again.I wish there was firmware 1.50 emulation present in devhook 0.51,but everything is running fine.It is really just a small problem that bothers me for some reason,do you have to emulate 2.71 again to change a game.Thanks in advance for any help if you can change games in devhook 0.51 let me know.

You can't. The new DevHook only emulates firmware 2.71 and higher. You have to use the old DevHook 0.4X loader to load 1.5 and use homebrew.

@L-Burna I also get that error one time when i choose Emulation on the devhook menu and forgot to put UMD on the drive. Maybe before you START the DEVHOOK you must put the UMD in the drive.
All my GAMES are working in this FW3.01 and got no problems switching ISO games.

I gave it a shot again (getting to 1.5 on a 2.71 TA-082... as I was last night). I woke up and the Easy Installer (v2) was downloaded. I placed it all in my memory stick (as indicated by the instructions), after formatting it of course, and when I went in I could a devhooked 2.71 to play ISOs but when I try to drop down to 1.5 it doesn't work. I didn't touch any of the settings other than what is indicated in your instructions. Why would it work completely fine for me with the loaders you had on this thread a couple months ago but now that I reloaded everything with the newer loaders 1.5 just doesn't work?

hi guys,
I've done exactly as the guide told me to do today.
Everything works, but in devhook menu the lowest firmware option is 2.71 (which was my firmware before I started anyway). And in 2.71 with hend enabled, I cannot play any homebrews. ISO's seem to work fine though.
The games I'm trying to play are SmashG and battlecruiser lua, and some other apps like infra remote and psp radio.
1) Am I supposed to see 1.5 as one of the options in devhook firmware menu? And if so, do I need to choose 1.5 to play homebrews even when hend is enabled with 2.71?
2) Could someone show me the FINAL folder AND INCLUDED FILE structure of the memory stick root folder when everything's done as the guide says? I'm concerned that even though I've done exactly as the guide said, during those few OVERWRITE FILES? stages I might have erased some files? Could that be the reason why I'm not getting FW1.5 in devhook FW options?
Desparate for help. Been searchin' for days. Pls help.

ok,
so I may have been reading a lot of useless materials. I've just read the above few msgs and it seems to tell me that 1.5 is NOT emulatable with dev 0.51 alone.
So that means I need to install dev .45 on top of .51 to run homebrews?
Heck, I don't know why I need FW 3.01 anyway. Could someone tell me? I mean, all I want to do is to be able to play ISO backups of my games and play a few homebrew games and apps.
Are there some crash hot games out recently that only runs on 3.01's? Do I really need it?

THX man now i can emulate my psp to firmware 3.01,2.82,1.50 it so grate for me but. i'm having problem when playing GTA LCS on 3.01 it can't be play. can i emulate to fw 3.01????? my psp is TA-082

youngchul well if u emulate 3.01 u can play games that needs higher firmware,coz now the highest is only 3.02.some games does not work with 2.71 so u have to emulate 3.01.yes there is onemetal gear solid portable ops.cant recall more voz a lot to do now...
ricojeans yup u can emulate 3.01 it is possible.lcs hmm did it worked in 2.71??.if it does not then maybe iso problem but if it works then i will see to my lcs if it works or not...
k bros got to go now and hit the beds.got to wake up early for personal matters,not dating or hookin that is lol!!!!!!!!!!!

anyone have any trubles with the new metal gear portable ops?
i downloaded it and it was in a .001, .002, .003 format. but WinRAR didnt recognize. so i downloaded joiner program. but when it was finished it didnt have an iso or cso tag. so i added a both tags and none worked. i dont know what it could be
i downloaded the one from gamestorrents.com

I saw the same corrupted data icon too and asked the same question. Apparently, it's just that the PSP doesn't recognize the format of the filename. It's normal.

Just use WinRAR to open it. I can confrim that MGS Portable Ops does indeed works with Devhook 0.51 but it doesn't seem to run on Devhook 0.4x.

really ? but i went in Devhook, changed the settings (chose FW1.5) .. after i click on 'Start', it went black .. and turn off .. when i open it back on, its still FW 2.71 ... hmmm .. i thought that was the readon why my psp cant change it to fw1.5 bcuz of the PSAR_DUMP2% .. but the PSAR_DUMP2 seems to come out fine ...
