does anyone know how to get the wifi working while emulating at 3.01?? I KNOW my connection isnt't the problem, there's sumthin wrong with my psp..any suggestions will help..thx

I installed the new Devhook and I can now play games I couldn't with Devhook .4x (Metal Gear PO, Killzone).
What do I need to do to put back the .45x DH and keep the latest one as well?
What folder do I need to get from my old install, and which folder do I put it in on the MS?

Set your cpu clock speed at 222/111 by pressing the HOME key on your PSP that way it should work fine. The Wi-Fi will only run at that speed.

does anyone know how to load 1.50 firmware back on after you loaded everything. i loaded Step A):update your psp to 2.71
Step B):moving Homebrew Enabler REV D[HEND] to psp
Step C):moving Devhook v0.46 ultimate installer v1.1.1 to psp
Step D):installing 1.50 dump firmware to psp
Step E):installing DEVHOOK Launcher/VSHEX Mod 1.65b to psp
Step F):Starting the first time
Step G):Playing ISO THROUGH USB WITH USBHOSTFS ......
then i loaded

and when i went through all the steps at one point my psp was emulated to 1.50 and now i dont have a devhook0.4X launcher for 2.71 menu under games anymore does anyone know what to do??? or how to emulate back to 1.50 if i wanted to... everything else worfs fine i can get 3.01 to work and 2.71 but not 1.50 anymore

Download DevHook 0.4X from here:
http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/811
Then extract the archive and copy all the folders in MS_ROOT to the root of your memory stick and press Yes if it asks to replace.
Now DevHook 0.4X should appear in the game menu.

I have PSP which inside UMD it says ICI0001 or something like that, does that mean i have Ta-082? or Ta-080 ?? whats the difference?

You have a TA-082 PSP.
My PSP Firmware History: 2.60 had to return the PSP because it had a dead pixel > new PSP had firmware 2.71 > 1.5 > 3.52 M33 > 3.52 M33-4 > 3.71 M33 > 3.71 M33 with 1.50 kernel

as long as you're answering questions e33extra, do you mind telling me what you did to get 3.01 working? i am having the exact same problem you were having--i flash 3.01, but when i start devhook it shows a few white lines and then shuts down. i tried changing all the settings before flashing and that hasn't helped. what did you do?

Hey, for that particular step, it is very important that you press X, instead of O. The mistake i made was that i pressed O instead. The instructions that occured during that step were that we were to press cross (X), and in my haste to emulate 3.01, cross looked like circle to me and thus i pressed circle, thinking that it was a difference between my asian psp and perhaps euro psp?
In a nutshell, during that impt step, just press X if you haven't done so, and the F0 folder which you are going to get will make all the difference. Hope it helps.

I just did whatever this guide told me to do, i got the firmware 1.5 and got HENC and DEvhOOK aswell.
Well now i put a .CSO in my memory stick in ISO folder, but i cant reload HENC, neither DEVHOOK??
Inside image folder i see HENC but a scribble picture opens....
What can i do to load my .cso???

Thanks for the info on putting back Devhook 4x.
I've got Devhook .51, & 4x.
I can run older and newer games. Everything is working well.

Ok dude, you've got to hard reboot your psp first. (Hold the power button for like 10secs max till it shuts down) Then switch it on again without any umd in the psp, load henc from photos. A blue screen will pop up and reboot ur psp in like 2 secs. After which, go to game, memory stick and load devhook. Then when the menu appears, just choose your cso to load under umd select, and you shd be good to go.
Update on Pro Evolution Soccer 6; For ppl having problem or having a proper bit of grief on getting this game to work: My initial cso was a lil cranky. Another version of it got me going along just fine.
Cheers, and it seems like this way of emulating to 3.01 is getting all games to work just fine. (Cept for syphon filter which seems to have been generating lots of complaints everywhere, lol)

ok guys i had quite a hard time cleanin up the guide so see it through the changes
1st choice and 2nd choice has switch
1st choice is at the top now
in the middle is 2.71 ta-082 users only,emulating firmware 3.01
2nd choice is at the very bottom now
there is a new easy installer i have made,

A)old users who have flashed 3.01 before do not need to flash files just boot 3.01,and it will boot 3.02 instead
B)new users just have to flash the files once.follow the step below and yes u are using 3.01 folder firmware to emulate 3.02 so just follow it.
1.now this is the important part,don't miss a word k.in devhook menu choose "firmware" then there should be only one option "3.01",choose that one and it will go back to the main menu.now choose "FLASH INSTALL" then choose "install configfile to flash1:".now u will be in a dos-mode like again with white and red words.
2.press and hold circle button for 1 second then wait,u will see that it is flashing the file from top to bottom.it takes only 3-8secs to finish.then press and button to exit this dos-mode like
and u will be back to "devhook0.51 BETA for 2.71.

i now have devhook o.46 &0.4x launcher for 2.71 & launcher/vshex mod & reconfig & 0.51 beta for 2.71... everything worked with the vshex 2.71 with the menu holding for three seconds and i installed the 0.4x back in and i dont get a menu drop down now should i erase o.4x??? or do i even need it.. i just want what i need to emulate games & homebrews so i can use my psp for everything

wicked4 no i think u did it wrong.
you have add either one devhook0.4x for 2.71 or devhook launcher/vshex mod with 0.51 beta for 2.71
yup u can just delete the three folders in psp/game
__SCE__DH_ENG,%__SCE__DH_ENG and DH_ENG71

guys i know most of u want change gameboots in 1.50.ok i said in the new devhook installer that u can't use the autotheme feature rite.
well now u can i fix the damn thing,download this files

then place it in your memorystick dh/150 folder and now try boot homebrews or games that has 1.50 or below firmware needed
or if u can understand this then in your memorystick go to DH/271 folder.now over here copy the file @AutoTheme and paste it to your memorystick DH/150 folder
