Here's the guide for changing your psp fonts.
1) Go to here and download the Birdman Font Pack v11 contains
* 135 fonts.
* Corresponding images for each font.
2)Plug in your psp to the computer by using the usb. In the ROOT of your memory stick there should be a folder called "dh". If there isnt then im sorry and i cry a tear od sadness inside, if there is then we are good to go . Select a font from the PSP FONTS folder in this pack, copy the ltn0.pgf file, Open up "Your Memory Stick Directory:/DH/**What firmware version you want to change the font**/flash0/font/" and overwrite the file. DONE! When you load devhook your font should be a custom font.
Tips : It wont work on the 2.71(nand-flash)
If you dont like the custom font, it can be change without re-flashing your psp. just follow the 2) step and run the devhook again it will change the font instant.
You can put different custom font as u like in each different fw in the dh folder ,as u load devhook by choosing different fw will have different custom font loaded.
It wont brick your psp i have try it a few times. Worksflawless

It still like this extra...
When i load HENC and then DEVHOOK select my UMD and click START the PSP shuts down... Whats wrong?

I need some more help
My 3.01 is working fine but when I copied the older devhook back on the memory stick and run it after I pick start the psp goes black and turns it self off, any advice?

Hi,
nice faq!! Seem to have the same pronblem, after i flash with devhook 0.51 goes back to the menu, try to load an umd and it shuts down the psp. Reboot, go into 0.51 and same thing. I even formatted my flashcard before i installed the easy installer 3.7 for 3.02. It used to work 100% with the manual version for 3.01. So just to test decided to recopy my backup for 3.01, works fine again, copied dh/301 from chungam 3.07 easy installer and it shutsdown the psp again for some reason. Any tips on making the 3.02 firmware work with the previous 3.01 manual setup?

@JacoPOP,yup u can use the 1.50 clean one it is up to u.well the us 1.50 dump is ok get it here http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/8.just extract it to your memorystick DH/150 folder.k.the corrupted icon is normal it,coz it hold some of the files of devhook chunglam/vshex mod.do not delete any of it or it will not work.what u can do is place all the currupted icon on the bottom.
to do that u have to move the % folders out and put it in desktop then move it back to the game folder.now u shoulder see that all the corrupted icons are at the bottom...
@vortice hmm which files see corrupted,if it is the cookies file then just leave it coz it is just for the html use.
@newtopsp nope i did not delete it instead i placed it in the middle of my first post...

@awaisuk i was thinking where'd u go.anyway u have to load henc then devhook then set the settings in devhook
umd select:your game if u do not have then use the XMB-boot[usus-00001].cso
firmware:2.71
cpu clock:222/111
then click on start
if it does not work then u must have placed the firmware in the wrong path.
@sakarot you have to choose the firmware in the menu.choose 3.01 then try it.it should work.coz sometimes u have to choose the firmware
@student1 after flashing the files did u choose the firmware 3.01.and were u using the new easy installer.i wish i could get a digital camera.so that i can post then with pics to make it easier for u guys

thnaks for the fast reply kealvalro, yes selected firmware 3.01 under dev hook 0.51 beta. Used the easy installer (latest release for 3.01).
First formated the mem stick
copied the easy installer
ran devhook 0.51
selected 3.01, flashed the firmware with the first opstion
once flashed no errors and goes back to devhook 0.51
try to start a iso using firmware 3.01,psp just shuts down, with the manually technique the next step would reboot and ask me to selct a language, this time arround just shuts down.

I have to first say Thanxs to all of you guys this is great!!!
Got everything to work now i can play 3.01 games but now i want do the play through my usb but to do that i think i have to dl devhook chunglam's easy installer V3 which i did but what program do you use to open this???
Also i have DAX_ZISO_Loader_v0.62_BETA_For_PSP is there anything else i need????

hey i go into launcher and boot to 1.5 but the problem is 1.5 runs so slow i cant even use it is there any way to fix this? like everytime i press any button the screen goes black for at least a minute

I was wondering, did anyone try using a 8 gig memory stick. I think you have to have firmware 2.81 to read them, so is there a way to keep using homebrew under that firmware right now?

hi, i've finally test : devhook chunglam's easy installer V2
it's a jap psp 2.60 , i've updated to 2.71
all works fine , exept when i run an iso ( i've try Lumines.cso , Dragon Ball Z Shin Budokai [Multi5].cso , Medal Of Honor Heroes (ripped).cso , Pinball_Classics_The_Gottlieb_Collection.iso)
i've this message :
the system sofware of your psp system is version 2.71 , to start you must update to version 9.99 or later
i've try umd ver " 2.xx to 2.00" and " no change "
any idea..?

about the " update to 9.99 "" problem ...
ok , just found how ( wicked4 hope this help you too )
when you are on the icon of the umd ( devhook one )press " home " button , you'll see the picture of the game , then press X and all will be ok...

Hi guys. . .simple question. . .I just bought a ta-082 mobo, FW 2.6. . .I have read everything and have one question.. . .should I follow the dark_alex guide (sept 2006) or are there new versions of stuff and different steps I should follow instead? What is the current thing to do to run homebrew on this thing?

ok guys, been working at this for hours. K., thanks a ton for the easy installer. Tried the harder way and was too much of a bone head to get it to work. I did the easy installere (1st version) and eventually looked in the photo directory and got the pic (2 actually, RAND and another) got the reset screen. Was able to go to devhook, got teh menu. . . .kinda lost here. Haven't been able to get the photo section to work (hend) again. Question: Have a rar with an iso, dh folder and psp folder in it. Do I need fast loader or is there a loader in the easy install you put together. I installed the iso in the iso folder but don't know how to open it. Also, what do i do with the other files. Sorry to ask crappy questions. . . just tired and at a loss. Thanks in advance. . .anyone.

Hi ppl...
I have a problem with devhook chunglam's easy installer V3

copied devhook chunglam's easy installer V3
now i go to the nex step..."A)old users who have flashed 3.01 before do not need to flash files just boot 3.01 and it will boot 3.02 instead" (IM A OLD USER i flashed before)
ran devhook 0.51
selected umd select:umd disc
firmware: 3.01(ms or flash+ms)
clock cpu:266/133mhz
boot mode:XMB MENU
then i click on "start devhook",and wait now the psp just shuts down, with the manually technique the next step would reboot and ask me to selct a language, this time arround just shuts down...
Pleae help me...
I think im not the only one to have these problem...
Someting its wrong with this devhook chunglam's easy installer V3.
can some one check this work plz???

hey man kealvalro...i finally got ps1p emulator to work!!!!!!!!! yippppeeeeee but not thru usb only thru 2 gig mmc
u dont mind if i write a tut and u can put it on ur 1st post..its quite a loooong write so as my exams are goin on i'll write one after 20 dec if dats ok with you..

PS not all games work and loads of glitches and u still cant rip ur cds..
PSP---Da ultimate handheld gaming consloe ever....

hi I'm using the easy installer and now I'm finally at 1.5 firmware. How do I change the fonts that are used on the xmb I dont like the fonts.
